Bought these for my dad who seems to always have a scratch or cut on his arms. I honestly didn't know how he'd react but he thought they were great and immediately tried them on. They fit pretty well, maybe a little more snug than he would want at the top but I think buying a larger size would have been too big.

I used to be an autoworker on the assembly line so I’m very familiar with protective sleeves. These are very comfortable and they stay up well. I’m a senior citizen now I love to work outside gardening and whatnot and these sleeves protect the thinning skin on my 70 yr old arms.

I bought it because I interact a lot with stray cats (saving them) and dogs in a dog shelter. The sleeves were supposed to protect me from both. So here are the results: Dogs' claws do not penetrate the sleeves, however, the sleeves are no match for cats claws.

These are a wonderful solution to keep your arms free of cuts when gardening. They are easy to put on and take off. The material is heavy to prevent cuts but lightweight and cool.

I love them. While I was trimming an overgrown Russian Olive tree, I saw blood dripping off my arms… lots of blood in several locations.I bought these sleeves and they are one of my favorite gardening items now. I use them when trimming my roses as well.

This order was to replace the ones from last spring. They work wonderfully. They protect the lower arms from briars, poison ivy, branches and sunburn without being overly hot.

Bought these to protect my old arms from getting bruised up working on the bottom of car seat while installing seat covers. After the first set was installed I counted about 10 bruises on my forearms after digging around in the seat springs and heater boxes and other power seat mechanics. Now that I have these protectors I got no bruises dining the second car!!Downside to these is the Velcro attachments that circle around the upper arm to keep them from sliding down The attachment is about a 1 1/2" wide prickly side velcro strip that is sewn on the outside of the protector. The softer piece is like a strap that completes going around the upper arms and sticks to the sticky part. Problem is the Velcro is about a 1/4" from the top and the fabric above the strip rolls up when worn, allowing the prickly Velcro to rub on the skin. Both sides are the same. Really irritates the skin. I've asked the wife to remove both of the sticky Velco pieces and move them down about an inch or so, so the Velco doesn't contact the upper arm skin. If I had it to do over, I would have selected a pair that weren't held up with stiff Velco. YMMVFOLLOW-UP: just received an e-mail from the sender in response to my review. Expressed they were sorry for any problems I had with the product and offered a refund. Did not ask me to change the review like the AMZ sellers, but I was glad to see the vendor reads reviews and tries to make things right. After the wife's sewing skills remanufactured the gloves, they fit great and I wouldn't want to take advantage of the seller's good will. Will not be taking them up on the offer, but would definitely do business with them again!!

If you want your arms scratch free when you work in the garden. I am old and scratches cause hematomas. These gloves are great for me.
