This is not as flimsy as the reviews describe.
This was everything I expected and fit with no issues.I do agree with one of the reviews for folks that cannot figure out how to remove the front end cap to install the four machine screws, no instructions on how to remove the caps.

easy to install. I used a plastic prying tool made for getting trim off to remove the corners of the fish finder and not damage the plastic.This is another BerleyPro item i’ve added to my kayak, and i’m happy with this purchase just as i was with the transducer cover, and a battery mount for the kayaks rear hatch.

Spend extra time looking for the how to video. Worth the time it takes to find it.
Blocks light, reduces glare and extends battery life. Only issue was finding instructions on how to open trim pieces on head unit to install the hood.

It works like it should but no where near worth $53... maybe $20. But it does the job.
