PhD Diet Whey Banana Split, Low Calorie Protein Powder for Weight Management and Muscle Recovery, 800 g

Bought this as an alternative to slimfast. Slimfast has been the go-to product for years in the effort to aid weight loss while exercising. Of late though their product tastes pretty awful. It's not a pleasant experience at all. It's also not generally that good value either seeing as it's generally about £8 for 14 servings. Purchased PhD chocolate flavour for about £13 and it claims to provide 32 servings. I believe I've had a little more than that out of it. Currently can be had around £20 so I guess that puts it comparible with SlimFast pricing right now - but worth keeping an eye out for offers.The beauty of this product is it tastes quite nice and just mixes with water. It's easier enough to shake and mix and goes down a treat. So far it seems to be doing the job, no complaints and I'm already on the second bag!

THIS IS THE BEST PROTEIN BRAND IVE EVER HAD . Have been consistently getting it for over a year now and dont think am switching. Personally ive tried all flavours and salted caramel is the best

Chocolate is always a difficult flavour to get right in whey protein. I was getting into Yfood choco and wanted something similar which this definitely is with the ‘milk’ chocolate aspect.My method for a smooth shake: 40% milk, 60% water, 2 scoops in and then metal shaker ball last. A good shake for 30 secs and leave to rest in the fridge. Usually shake it just before I drink too.

A great whey protein, that mixes well with both water and milk. Very reasonably priced and with only 95 calories great for those who want a shake but without all of the calories.

Tastes really strange, no caramel flavour coming through at all. I'll stick to vanilla which is lovely.

The packet arrived in an outer plastic bag, it was squashed into a flattened shape about an inch thick! when opened the packet of powder smelt of synthetic strawberries and was covered in powder, although I couldnt find a hole. Once opened the aparantly reseable seal was obviously never going to seal as it was like a velcro that was now covered in powder? I used 2 clothes pegs to fold it over and seal it, this was all before I even tried it..!!! So after all this frustration I blended up as directed (note:this is my first time using this product) I usually use my blender for my protein shakes. The smell was off putting and once mixed and tasted it was awful. It tasted bad and had a very weird consistency..the taste had a background like a wet, damp cardboard smell?! the strawberry taste was there but it was so synthetic..the clothes pegs went back on and the shake went down the drain. I did contact Amazon who did refund me. I won't be purchasing this brand again.Note: I also tried to make it taste better with milk, frozen mangoes, banana, nothing would disguise the smell and the taste. Really dissatisfied.
