Stays cool and DARK
The media could not be loaded. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tent!! I solo camp, and it's very easy for me to set up and take down myself. Definitely stays cooler, can take a nap middle of day, dark and cool. I have had this tent for 2 years with extensive use, almost every other weekend from April to October!! A little wear is evident; put a patch on the floor where center piece folds into floor, some blackout wearing off, looks like holes, but pretty sure it's just the black out coating. All zippers still work. I have taken care of my tent though, tarp on ground, thin rug and blanket inside floor to protect from cot legs and dog nails. I added sticky velcro to windows to keep drafts at minimum, since windows only zip up the sides, which leaves top unsecured (this could be improved). I also add a thin fleece blanket under rain cover to help keep warm in colder weather/altitude for insulation, which helps! I think tent is colder because it doesn't warm up in sun, but that's okay with me.NOT a downside, just a note, that even in middle of day, if tent is all zipped up, you'll need a light to find anything or change clothes, it is that dark. Can stand inside tent, and I'm 5'7".When it's time to replace, I plan on getting this same tent!!

Fantastic tent
I really wasn’t expecting much. I had never heard of this brand and I’m very skeptical of most tent brands other than top names. I was VERY impressed with this. I was able to fit a large Queen air mattress and had room for a twin next to it. It won’t leave much room for gear but it’s doable. Perfect size for myself and my two young boys. A young family would be fine. Anyone with older children may want to look for a larger tent. This is only a true 6 person if you don’t use air mattresses and sleep right on top of each other.Pros:- super fast setup. I’m an avid camper and I’ve been handling tent setup alone for over 20 years. I had this tent up in less than 10 minutes on my own and that was taking my sweet time.- fabric seems very durable and thick.- lots of storage cubbies- built in shoe mat is fantastic- blackout is about 90% effective. Sunrise was 6am and I was barley able to see light when I woke up around the rain fly ceiling (where mesh top is) and around the base. Still… I had zero issues sleeping in and would have no problems with an afternoon nap. I actually had to look at my phone to see what time it was because I thought it may have still been dark out. Blackout does make it difficult to find things during the day if the windows are up, so invest in a nice tent light/fan.- nice rain fly/guy lines.- it seems to cut down on heat a little bit during the hottest parts of the day.Cons:- tent poles are somewhat tough to extend and click in. The longevity of these is a concern for me.- putting the tent away is a nightmare. It’s very long and cumbersome. Once the poles are folded inward, it’s very difficult to get it tightly wrapped so that it goes back into the bag- bag quality sucks. I don’t see this bag lasting more than a year or two.- I have concerns about the “easy up” design. Because of the way it folds up, I’m worried that it will prematurely wear away at parts of the floor where it folds in on itself or stretches around poles.

Very pleased
I got this tent because I tend to feel claustrophobic in anything I can’t stand up in (I’m 5’5”) and wanted to be able to camp with my kids’ scout troops comfortably. This tent fits my cot, my gear, and allows me to stand and move around comfortably with plenty of room, which is what I wanted. Easy set up and take down, and held up well against reasonably strong winds. Very dark inside, but vents well with windows open to screens. Happy with my purchase.

Blackout part is great, but already have a ripped issue on 2nd use- AMAZING customer service
Update: This company clearly cares and offered a full refund, not in exchange for any updated review. Things sometimes happen and while I hope it was just a fluke that my tent ripped, it's comforting that if you're going to spend a bunch of money on a tent that if something happens that they make it right.I'll definitely consider buying this same tent again next year.---------The bad first:The biggest thing is that the part that connects the tent string/pole ripped on its 2nd use (and 1st was just a practice setup in the backyard!) as we were assembling the tent. Thankfully, there is not a hole in the tent itself, just its ability to connect to the pole on the bottom. We thankfully had duct tape so we could still rig up a way to assemble the tent. It's technically easy to assemble with what you need to do- one person is fine by themselves. But physically extremely difficult for "average strength" people. I don't consider myself weak, but it was very difficult to do as you can't get a good grip as you need to slide up the posts. There's no way anyone on the older side would be able to do this. The mixed:The blackout is absolutely worth it. I knew to expect pinholes from the first use and yup, they're there. But lots of pinholes are still better than not having it at all. What I didn't plan for was that in broad daylight you still need a lamp. At least if you want the windows zipped up enough to actually get changed in. Still worth it for me, but I'm guessing I would need to remove the rainfly to actually read a book or play games inside the tent? I'm trying to imagine a rainy day where the family is actually in the tent for several hours, needs the rainfly, and basically you've only got a lamp. The good:Despite it not being super easy to physically push the poles up, it still feels worth it over traditional tents. The blackout feature has some cons, but the relief of being able to sleep in past the crack of dawn or take a nap midday is so worth it.I love the height of this tent too! While the rip wasn't great, I'll take a chance again with the customer service!
