Super Solid!
Gotta say, I love this mic arm! I've tried other ones and found them cheap and shaky—this one is so much better! The finish and build quality are very good, the adjustments are smooth, and it holds your mic (or phone) very well. I like that it also included a phone clip if you wanted to use it for that. This kit also includes a holder for a stick mic, three thread sizes (1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, and 5/8 inch), and a really nice ball joint. There is padding on the desk clamp as well to protect the desk from scratches. I cut a washcloth up and used that under the clamp because I'm extra like that but I doubt that is really necessary : )If I were to nitpick something about this arm, it would be that the thumb screws used to lock the side-to-side movement do not completely lock that movement. This isn't a problem for me since I swing the boom arm out of the way when not in use anyway. I tightened them down so they definitely take a little effort to move, but they don't "lock" like the up/down movements do. The up/down movements lock rock solid, and that is what is really important. So, it's not a problem at all, just be aware of that. That minor gripe doesn't even deserve a star taken off, so I'm sticking with 5 stars on this one. This boom arm looks so pro on my desk. I liked it so much after testing it out that I ordered a second one. For the price, you can't go wrong—Get it!

Excellent build quality
I purchased this & another low profile arm prizmora I believe. The other arm had cable mgmt clips but I liked the look & feel of the cmteck better even though you need to use velcro straps (included) to hold the cables.Built like a tank & has great range of motion. If it included some stick on cable clips you could put them on the back side & hide your cables better but it's not that important to me.Very nice arm!

Very well built
This mic boom arm is very well built, reminds of one from another big brand mic maker. The hinges are a little stiff but that’s what I want, get it in a position I want and it will hold that spot. The arm has a channel for the microphone cable so you can keep your workspace nice and tidy. Good articulation and it looks premium, definitely recommend.

excellent build and strong mount!
This boom is excellently built, has many options for size and articulation. The phone holder is a nice bonus. My only complaint would be the set screws for the many areas of adjustment are not grippy enough. You can really crank them down (almost to the point of failure) and the unit still moves at that joint. That is the reason for the 4/5 stars.

I waited far too long to get one of these!
Sometime during covid, we all got used to the fact that we would have to work remotely and have remote meetings. I invested in a high quality webcam , but I never liked it. Sitting on top of the monitor showing the top of my head, nor under my monitor, looking up my nose. I also wanted to make sure that I seemed to have eye contact with whomever I was talking to. This meant that I needed to put the webcam in front of my monitor.Going into a virtual meeting has been an ordeal for the past couple of years. I fashioned a webcam tripod sort of thing out of a glass bottle and a cork attached to a 1/4 20 screw that went into the bottom of the camera. The glass bottle allowed me to see through the stand to the lower part of my monitor. When I would start a meeting, I would grab the bottle , put it on my desk, and then put the camera with the cork on the bottom into the glass. This boom arm has changed my life! I have set the camera at the perfect height and now I can simply swivel the camera away. The arm of the camera doesn't take up too much viewing space, and it's relatively easy to look past the camera and still see the monitor while appearing that I am making eye contact with the person I am talking to.This thing is steady! Once you tighten the height, it's not going anywhere. It comes with a screw that you can tighten to keep it from swiveling as well but don't use it. I was able to put it together in just a few minutes and it comes with any sort of connectors and adapters that you might need for a mic or a camera or literally anything you want it to hold.

This is the most expensive boom arm I own
As it says in the review title, this is the most expensive boom arm I own. I don't pay a lot of money for my boom arms, but I have owned 3 cheap boom arms. The first was an overhead arm held up by springs. It was creaky and not very smooth to operate. The second one was a low profile arm that just folded in half and swiveled around to swing out of your way. That has been my favorite option so far, and then I came across this one! It's the best of both options. You can use it as an overhead boom if you'd like to or you can use it as a low profile boom. I love the versatility that it offers. It's easy to operate, quiet, and smooth. I like that it has some form of cable management built in (albeit very minimal, but it's better than nothing.)It tucks away really well too.So far this is my favorite boom that I've owned. I'll let you know if I have any long term trouble with it. But so far this one has retired both of my other options :)

Good quality, difficult to tighten.
Good quality arm, nice and robust, and built like a tank. The joints where it connects to the Mic are difficult to tighten.

Great mic stand, clean and cheap. But I need one more thing..
How can I purchase an extra table clip base? I just need another one, I would rather not buy another mic stand for this.

Good Setup, better than my old Stand and Boom UPDATED
Good all around build, would have preferred plastic clips vs Velcro wraps to secure the mic cables. My only true gripe about this unit is that it arrived previously opened and obviously used. Not one item was "new" wrapped in plastic and all the locking screws were loose in the box, and had scratched the finish on both arms.Otherwise it would have got at least an overall score of 4 stars.Good item, bad quality control.UPDATE - the seller of this product have subsequently contacted me and made good on the issues with this item. Thumbs up to them :) Still not 5 star ( was 2 star overall ) as that a damaged or previously used item should never have shipped.

Solid and sturdy
Given how much this boom costs, it's a steal! Very sturdy feeling, but still moves around to the perfect position with little effort. Strong enough to hold up my AT2040 mic with no issue. The 2 extenders are perfect for making it fit over the desk better.

It broke in the first hour…
It broke within 1 hour of owning it. What an absolute piece of junk. Don’t waste your money. The joints are incredible weak. It’s make from cheap crappy metal.
