Used twice so far on my propane RV stove. Nicely toasted and quick. No warping. Handle folds easily and stayed cool. With all the rust complaints, I will only toast bread and will not wash. Just wipe with paper towel and shake out crumbs. No discoloration yet, but I do not care what color it is. Adjusting to new campground with no AC plug in. Removed electric toaster and Mr Coffee. Toast and percolator coffee done on stove was great.

Perfect! >>>>>>>> My wife threw away the last camp toaster we used on a gas grill when the fold-up spring wire pooped loose and one of the pieces of bread fell on the ground and the other caught fire on the pan.... We love our toast, and the Ibili flat toaster plate works as stated. I put (2) slices of home made sourdough bread on the plate and put the gas flame control at halfway. After 4 minutes the slices were crisp but not scorched. I will try leaving the slices on next time to see if they turn golden brown, but I was more concerned this first time that the product just made crispy dry toast, and it fdid that perfectly. After use, the pan plate was not warped or discoloured. Great product!

Practical and easy to store and use

Notice the discoloration on the mesh, that was after two uses and it kept getting worse, and the plate warped concave too. Also at first the edges of the bread got charred before I really had 'toast'.I got the whole thing to work better by keeping the temperature on the gas stove pretty low, then I could leave the bread on longer for more color, but it took a while.The handle works well, it doesn't get hot and holds the plate securely. Most importantly for my minimalist life, it's small. For years I toasted everything straight on the gas burner but I was hoping to minimize the mess with this thing, which, it did do that.In summary, with patience I could get warm bread with a crusty surface, and isn't that Toast.

I called this a “manual” toaster, because there’s no buttons to push. But if all you have available is a propane camping stove, it absolutely, positively works great for toasting bread.
