RIVA ARENA Black – Multiroom Wi-Fi Speaker, Bluetooth, Chromecast, Airplay, Google Home DNLA 50W Black

I absolutely love this product.First: the sound is really rich and detailed, and it easily fills a medium/large room.Second: its support for multiple protocols is really comprehensive.Setting up the device with Google Home was very easy. I already have 2 other wifi speakers connected through chromecast and the Riva just blended seamlessly into the network. I could include it in the group of speakers and play synchronised music from all 3 speakers at the same time. (Playing music through each speaker individually is of course also supported.)Very uncommon for a single device: the Riva supports AirPlay as well! This was a major issue with my other two speakers: I had to choose between AirPlay and Chromecast, going for the latter in the end because I needed to use them with non-Apple devices and it would blend with my NAS setup much more straightforwardly (not to mention multi-room etc).With the Riva I get the best of both worlds: I can stream music to it from my NAS, or simply from my Mac.The wide support for protocols is in my opinion the strongest unique selling point of this speaker.The device itself is polished and feels sturdy. I am not planning to take it on the go but it's interesting to have the option (it has a "away" mode where the speaker acts as a hub).I haven't explored the customisation offered by the Wand app yet.All in all, very impressed with the product, would absolutely recommend it!

I wanted this primarily because it was the only speaker I could find that was supposed to be fully Apple airplay compatible, with good sound quality and didn't come bundled with Alexa, or Siri or whatever else. The reality is the sound quality is poor with no defined bass or treble, just middle and muddy and, worst of all it doesn't show up as multi selectable as an air play device by the lastest Apple TV 4K. Selectable as a single speaker yes, but not selectable with others. This did however work from iTunes so I'm guessing Riva have missed something. Amazon refunded me without quibble and so 2 stars it is. I've since bought an Apple HomePod... which truly is amazing sound quality and I'v just switched siri off. Works perfectly.

Don't bother with this product, electronik are scams, they will make you pay extra for battery built-in and deliver without battery and when you contact them they simple refuse you ordered battery built-in.Waste of time and money.Wish I had bought from curry's pc world.

I have two of these ...Can't fault them at all. Sound great and easy to incorporate into an existing Chromecast network. On setting up I would advise setting up on Google Home app wiith the speaker in a strong WiFi signal area and then moving it to it's eventual location. (If the speaker loses WiFi on setting up it's a pain).Bluetooth and an auxillary socket means all options are covered well into the future.Even though each individual speaker plays in stereo using the Trillium option, if you have two they can be stereo paired by using the Riva Wand app to dedicate one to play the right channel and the other speaker to play the left. Put the 2 speakers into a Home group and you have your stereo pair...and with better stereo imaging they sound even better!!

I'd give it strong 4 stars, but power supplying design is real concern for us as we have to small kids.Because PSU is built into speaker the AC 240V power cable have to be connected directly to speaker instead of solution with external PSU where speaker is feed with DC power (usually 5 to 12 Volts) where contact may be not pleasant but shouldn't cause any serious harm.Unfortunately cable on speaker side may be very easy detached even by small baby so I think this is something that should be re-designed and improved for sake of safety customers with families and kids.Especially that speaker can be used with battery pack so it will be detached and power cable may be left unattended.A side of above issue this is really nice speaker, great portability with attached battery, decent sound, hi resolution DAC, plenty of bass (can be adjusted to your preference). It's even emulating stereo as much as possible by playing left and right channel from side speakers.We really like it. You can enjoy it at home connected standard electric socket or take it with you with attached battery (don't remember anymore if it is provided with speaker) and enjoy it in garden, park or camping site (if allowed) etc. even in car.Battery last for quite a long time, few hours (depends from volume level etc) and its not dying after 1h ;)We have it already few years and it still fully functional.Wifi connectivity much more robust than BT (blutooth) so no more annoying disconnections when you leave the room with speaker.

Pro: ha diverse possibilità di connessione: bluetooth (testato), google cast (testato), jack 3.5mm (testato), e airplay (non testato); io lo uso con google home e la connettività è buona; la portabilità soffre per via dell'assenza, nella versione base, della batteria (pare si possa prendere separatamente ad un costo rilevante).Contro: la qualità del suono non è eccelsa, risulta poco brillante, simile ad un Sonos One.

La conección vía Google Home es perfecta. El sonido impecable cuando se transmite vía WiFi en alta definición de sonido y activada la tecnología Trillium™ la experiencia musical es brutal. Es increíble cómo llena el espacio un sólo altavoz, y si tienes dos, como es mi caso,ni siquiera hace falta ajustarlos como izquierda o derecha , que si que hay esa opción, pero con que activesen los dos altavoces la tecnologíaTrilliumm™ posicionan todos los instrumentos perfectamente, es muy curioso que teniendo los dos altavoces emitiendo lo mismo, produzcan un estéreo tan brutal y una definición de los sonidos tan increíble. He descubierto sonidos nuevos en alguna canción muy escuchada, y no tengo mal equipo principal en casa. ( Sintonizador Denon y altavoces Bose Acustimax). En definitiva: Un sólo altavoz es suficiente para una habitación media, pero dos elevan la experiencia musical sustancialmente.También decíos que uno me salió malo y hubo que cambiarlo , y en el último pedido lo pedí en negro y me lo han enviado en blanco y a un precio inmejorable, 118 euros sin gastos de envío.La aplicación Riva wand es malísima, la mitad de las veces que la abro no identifica a los altavoces ,menos mal que una vez configurados en la aplicación "Google home", ésta siempre los reconoce y cómo dispositivos Google home, la aplicación sirve para poco. Desde los dispositivos Google home puedes enviar música, a uno, a los dos , como se te antoje , puedes avanzar o retroceder canciones , subir y bajar volumen etc.Un buen aparato a la altura musical de Sonos Play o mejor (en cuanto a sonido) , sin ningún problema en la transmisión wifi y bluetooth, pero con una app que no se han currado nada y es lo que tienen de bueno los Sonos, los cuales a día de hoy aún no son compatibles con el sistema Home de Google, cosa que para mí era fundamental.Compré también baterías y son geniales. Los he tenido 12 horas sin enchufar , reproduciendo música al 80 por ciento del volumen y sin problema. Muy recomendable arrancarse el bolsillo y tenerlas. Los altavoces los voy moviendo por toda la casa , una pasada en el cuarto de baño, ahi no se pueden poner muy alto por la acústica tan brutal y los bajos que parece que me van a tirar los azulejos .

Connexion fiable et simple en Chromecast multiroom. Le son est super également à bas niveau, ce qui est très appréciable dans une chambre. Après avoir été très déçu avec l'enceinte omni20+ de Harman cardon (pertes de connexions, impossible de lancer une musique via Spotify, obligé de debrancher et rebrancher pour sortir de veille...), enfin un système fiable ! A ce sujet, j'ai eu le malheur d'acheter l'enceinte omni+ auprès de la Fnac... car moins chère de 20€... À ce jour, bien qu'elle ne fonctionne pas, et après 3 semaines de retour en garantie où l'on me dit que tout va très bien, c'est parti pour des lrar... C'est là qu'on regrette le sav Amazon!EDIT : Après plusieurs mois d'utilisation, mes deux enceintes RIVA se déconnectent du réseau local de temps en temps (IP en 169.XX...). Obligé de débrancher et rebrancher. Après plusieurs tests, le souci est lié aux enceinte set on au réseau. Aucune autre appareil (2 chromecast audio, MI Box, PC, Ipad, ...) n'a ce problèmeAUCUNE réponse du service client RIVA : on dépose une demande, on reçoit un email comme quoi nous aurons une réponse dans le 24h, et toujours rien, malgré des relances, après plusieurs mois.
