I've been teaching my mom to draw. She is already at the point where she can draw full scenes from imagination, but she wants to expand her skills. A book like this is perfect for her situation! This book ramps up the difficulty gradually and never gets too crazy. Not only does it do a great job of breaking down complex shapes, it shows 4 tutorials on most pages, so every page teaches so many drawing skills while also giving you plenty to look at. You can just casually flip through a few pages and see dozens of potential drawing projects. I think this kind of presentation is very helpful because it greatly increases the odds of a reader seeing something they like and want to draw. If it were 1 tutorial per 5 pages instead, each tutorial would seem big and intimidating, and it'd take a lot of page-turning to see what was on offer. So this book has great material AND it presents that material in a really accessible way. It's definitely worth the money and should delight any aspiring artist :)
