Lovely gardening gloves for pruning thorns. Not heavy duty for workers pulling brambles.
If you need rose & thorn bush pruning gloves for normal home use, these are superb, like a second skin, lovely grip on the secateurs. For heavy garden work / as a job, they are not proof against tough thorns when grabbing and pulling briars or packing lots of rose stems into a container: they help, but you will still get some thorn tips poking through (Gloves with kevlar palms are the ones for that).Store these in a canvas bag or wooden box, never plastic or exposed to breeze. If you are prone to leaving them in a damp heap somewhere, these may not be the gloves for you.Do not get them dirty with soil, nor lots of chlorophyll by wearing them to pull weeds: they are for handing thorny plants.Try one pair and if you are happy, buy one more pair so you always give them 48 hours to air out between each day of use. They should last a lot longer (more than double, hopefully...)I rate them highly because I prune roses & a few other thorny shrubs at work a lot, and I only really use them for that : I use cheap rubber palm cotton gloves as much as possible, and switch to my kevlar gloves for heavy work with brambles etc. All tucked in me belt for easy access.

Great gloves… good quality comfort for a fair price.
I absolutely love these gloves. This is my third pair … the other two pairs were taken by other family members who love them too. I bought a smaller size for me this time… so they only fit me! I wear a size 8 glove in women’s, I have quite large hands and a medium is the perfect fit…..We have a very large garden that requires quite heavy duty work with some tough jobs… it’s almost a full time job. These gloves are substantial enough to tackle heavy duty work and tough pruning, but soft enough and comfortable when wearing for hours doing any gardening task…planting, digging, light pruning. A great glove that allows you to ‘feel’ what you are doing but substantial enough to protect you from the sharpest rose thorn. Great gloves for a fair price. Good quality and well made.

Fantastic quality gloves and customer service
Lovely thick leather gloves but supple enough to have control of your fingers and grip tools. Particularly love the generously long the gauntlet (although they are a little snug so if you have big forearms or intend to tuck in a thick sweater then it might be best to check the measurements first). I usually take a size 7.5 glove so the Small size fitted well but could easily accommodate an 8 (although, as with all gloves I buy, the little fingers are too long). Perfect for tackling all the more heavy duty gardening jobs and essential for weeding unscathed amongst all the rose bushes! Great all round quality and would make a lovely gift too for any gardeners. I feel i must comment also on the fantastic customer service of this company. Not only did they keep me informed on the progress of my order but when i mentioned some minor points about the gloves i had intially received (and i was being very picky) they immediately sent a personal apology and a replacement pair - no questions asked. Extremely rare to find such outstanding service these days.

Very tough gloves/gaunlets
Sizing was spot on and the soft leather glove section allows for good dexterity when using tools. Gauntlet section very tough and offers great protection. Before I'd managed to clear two overgrown ditches thick with nettles and brambles I discovered another great use for them - holding my cat whilst she's being groomed! She's none to happy to go through the process and fights like Taz to get free, usually resulting in multiple snags and scratches to whoever is trying to hold her! Not any more, I came away completely unscathed. Neither she nor the brambles managed to cause any damage. If you grip a fat bramble branch with the glove section REALLY hard then the odd thorn will pierce the leather of the glove section, so they're not entirely thorn proof but definitely extremely resistant.

Fantastic - highly recommended
Really amazing pair of gardening gloves. Yes they are expensive but having spent a few days tackling rose bushes, brambles and general gardening I made the mistake of putting on a pair of normal heavy duty gloves to tidy up, and promptly got stuck with a thorn! Now I just stick with these gloves. Arms are really wonderfully protected with the gauntlet. If you grab a really spikey rose head on it can get through, or if you have a particularly vicious variety that have an unearthly determination to draw blood. I took hold of the first rose with a bit of trepidation as it goes against instincts to hold something thorny but was really surprised when it didn't go right through. They seem too soft to offer a huge amount of protection, but they really do. For "normal" gardening e.g. those who aren't cutting down a huge forest of the most vicious brambles, I don't think you'll regret investing in these gloves.Update 8 months on - I have now purchased two more pairs of these fantastic gloves (and some for my neighbour who finds them a godsend). The first pair survived everything I threw at them - a 1 acre garden totally overgrown with the thorniest of brambles that have never been tamed, with every plant having a bramble friend wrapped around it or hiding within it. These gloves have seen real combat with me yanking and dragging sometimes ten or more metres of bramble out of trees .... I really hate bramble! But only on three occasions have I had to yelp as a thorn bit back! I'm having to replace them as I use them for normal gardening (I don't trust any other gloves now - especially with the stealth brambles that exist in the heart of every shrub, and the stealth nettles that hide within the most innocent of flower beds), so they have been covered in wet mud on many occasions and are now a bit stiff, far beyond a wipe with a damp cloth. So I'm treating myself to a nice new soft pair and keeping one in reserve (for anyone who wants to help me in my bramble mission). While I hate brambles ... I love these gloves and now wouldn't use any others.

Ottimi!
Ottimo prodotto.

Not just for pruning roses
Your gloves are very well made. Your sizing chart was very accurate and they fit my husband like a glove 😄I bought them so he could wear them when playing with our cat so I wouldn’t have to trim the cats nails as often. Our cat waits at the door for him to come home and races to the front room for play time. Hubby was getting way to many scratches on his hands and arms. So far the cats claws have not gone through so the gloves are working well for this purpose. It did take a bit for the cat to get used to them but he is and we are very happy!!! By the way, for skeptical cat lovers who think playing that way is abuse, my cat never tries to play with me or anyone else that way and he looks forward and asks for hubby to wrestle with him.

I'd give them 10 stars if I could...
These gloves save your hands like steel reinforced-toe shoes save your feet!! Never have I had a pair of gloves so soft yet strong enough for me to finally overcome my powerful rose thorns. Pruning has been a nightmare since we moved into a new home with a lush tropical backyard setting, including many beautiful rose varieties. One in particular has thorns up to 5/16" long and sharp as a surgeon's tool. I used to feel she was out to get me as I nearly bled to death several times while pruning. These soft, truly Thorn Proof, EZ-on gloves are quite simply the best. They slip on easily and stay put. Others I've owned had annoying straps that would come loose. Not to mention these gloves are made of steel. Not to big or floppy; like real gloves but for gardening...but made of steel.Yesterday, I was able to load the clippings I pruned off the Beast and push them into the wheelbarrow with my Gloved Hands. Then I shoved them into the recycler with my Gloved Hands. Did I mention these gloves are made of the softest steel fabric ever invented? They call it Thorn Proof Goatskin. This is an honest company who delivers on all their claims. I recommend these gloves wholeheartedly, you will not be disappointed. Fabulous price, when you receive them you'll realize you'd expect to pay more for this type of quality. I've conquered the Beast; she's once again my Beauty.
