Great Product
Just what I've been after works great too, on all 3 modes.

Impressive
Bought this because my new Samsung smart TV lacks the RCA audio outputs needed for my stereo setup, but has switchable eARC digital and Toslink available. The eARC works fine, but mutes the TV speakers unless physically unplugged from the box, or unless the box is powered down. This is a nuisance, so I opted for the (48 kHz from TV) SPDIF connector, which is more flexible and can be easily controlled from the sofa! The result is surprisingly good - indeed, it holds up quite well against my classic Audiolab 8200CD in A/B testing, no mean feat! Perfectly adequate for “stereo cinema” and decently priced. A well made and flexible little device in terms of inputs, outputs and pass throughs. Recommended.

Dreadful Little Device
Ignoring others' negative reviews about reliability, I went ahead and bought this anyway. It started to malfunction after a few weeks, and failed altogether soon after. A replacement was purchased and it too failed, only sooner. Do not buy this or one which looks just like it!

Audio Extractor
Had no issues using this to pull audio from a HDMI camera to extract the audio to a audio mixer separately. In physical terms, it appears to be a nicely made metal enclosure with rounded edges, giving a nice sleek finish. All the connections seem to be terminated nicely and no exposed panels etc from the outside.Pack included a short HDMI and usb cable (you'll need your own power adapter to USB), but as it's a standard micro USB, you can get a different cable to suit very easily. For me it worked without issues and no visible delay or otherwise.

192khz DAC Converter
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.Physically, the converter appears to be well-made - it has a solid construction, and a sleek finish. The connection ports are all properly moulded and sealed. You also get a HDMI and a USB power cable in the box, which are useful, however I feel that the power cable in particular is quite short, which makes placement difficult.I wanted to use the converter as a way of connecting headphones to my TV, as it would be nice to properly enjoy movies and other content, without worrying about the volume, especially at night. I therefore attempted to connect the converter to my TV’s HDMI ARC port, as instructed by the manual, along with my desired headphones on the ‘output’ side.Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get it to work. My TV registered the converter being connected to the ARC port, and automatically changed its audio output accordingly, but there was no sound coming through the headphones, no matter what I tried. I’m unsure if this is a fault, or by design, as the instructions are confusing and poorly-written, potentially due to bad translation.Due to the variety of conversion options available, I’m sure that it would be useful for many different setups. Sadly, it’s not the right item for me, personally.

It's just a Headache, not More...
I bought this hoping it would make my setup easier and let me enjoy better sound, but honestly, it’s been nothing but a headache. From the start, it felt flimsy and cheaply made, but I figured I’d give it a chance. Big mistake. The instructions were almost useless—confusing and badly written. I had to watch random videos online just to figure out how to plug it in properly. Even once I got it set up, the sound kept cutting out or just wouldn't come through at all. I'd get it working, think it was fine, and then the next time I turned everything on—nothing. It just randomly decides when it wants to function.Trying to control the volume with CEC was an absolute joke. It lagged, or didn't work, or suddenly blasted sound at full volume out of nowhere. Not great when you're watching something at night or have kids sleeping.Honestly, I spent more time unplugging and restarting this thing than actually using it. It didn’t solve anything for me—just added more wires, more frustration, and more swearing. I ended up throwing it in a drawer and going back to my old setup. Total waste of money.
