Mildew
I have a screened in covered deck, with a ceramic floor. I brought this material in orange and covered my cushions in June. Loved the color when It arrived. Ordered a little more expensive material to use as a contrast. I covered the seats with the orange, and the back cushions with the print. The end result was beautiful. Lots of compliments. Lately I started to notice dark spots, didn't think it was mildew. Water does blow through at times on the deck, but I usually move my pillows to the back. My other seat cushions I have had for years, and none of them have ever had mildew. The fabric I used for the back pillows did not mildew, only this fabric. I used a solution recommended on a website. It did remove some of the mildew, but if wiped to hard the color changed. I will have to replace the seat fabric covers. Cannot continue to worry about mildew. I have cushions I use in my yard that are exposed to all of the outdoor elements, and they do not collect mildew like this fabric. Really would have liked to see this fabric work out after putting so much time in covering the cushions. I would not recommend this fabric.

Canvas, coated on one side with a rubbery substance. Durable. Mildly difficult to sew.
Fabric is a canvas material that’s had a coating applied to one side. It’s pretty stiff when delivered. Has a bit of weight and doesn’t stretch or tear easily. Cut just fine with my fabric scissors. My little sewing machine could only handle three layers (using canvas needles, swapping out as they dulled, 1.5 per project), had to hand stitch anything stacked thicker and use a stronger needle made for stitching sails. Waterproofing is decent on the canvas side and great on the other, just realize if you put holes in it water will pass through, like stitching pockets or seams. I made three projects with my 5 yards. A ground pad for camping (made a pocket, canvas side out and can slip in different pads as needed), a drop blanket for hunting/shooting and a hood. I Took the ground pad camping and canoeing on the South Edisto River in SC. It fell in the river once and floated till I caught it. All the water shed right off with a shake. Had rain encroach on the tent and underside was wet all night but I stayed dry on top, no seepage. Had to let the canvas side that was in constant contact with water air dry, but two hours of overcast and it was dry. Used the hammock another night in the swamps and even with fog stayed dry even though hammock had absorbed a lot of moisture. (Used the pad as a moisture/thermal barrier, hammock is just thin ripstop nylon.). Plus the canvas provided enough grip that I wasn’t constantly sliding into a ball all night. The drop cloth works great on damp ground, canvas absorbs light oils and keeps me comfortable while prone shooting or sitting on ground for extended periods. The coated side is what contacts the ground. Wipes dry, and hangs till next use. The material still too stiff to properly use for a hood. Doesn’t really gather properly when down, and doesn’t breathe, so not great. Kept the rain and wind off my head, but ended up sweating and still being wet.

My dogs love it!
I used this fabric to cover a memory foam mattress that I cut down to fit in my dog's crates. I used a velcro closure so I can remove the cover if I ever need to wash it.They've been using their beds for about 8 months now and the fabric is holding up great! I have two dogs both over 100lbs and they go in and out of their crates everyday, walking all over these beds and the fabric isn't showing any signs of wear.

Misleading advertising, not canvas at all!
Not canvas at all, material feels like cheap shower curtain, I regret so much of having purchased this!! There was a long period of time you couldn’t place a review for this product and I wonder why?? But now I can, there you go...

Excellent quality outdoor fabric, best price as well!
I received this fabric quicker than I thought possible! When I got it, I was very pleased with the quality and noted the color was exactly as depicted on the Amazon site. This fabric is a bargain. It is truly water resistant (I tested that) and was the best fabric purchase I have made in some time. I was recovering outdoor cushions for a friend (gratis) and wanted to accomplish this as frugally as possible. What I did not expect was the quality of the fabric. FANTASTIC purchase! If you are looking for outdoor material, go no further as you will not find any better quality or price!

Not for humid climates!
Not good for humid climates! We live inSC and we spent a couple hundred dollars making this material into outdoor curtains for my covered patio. They looked amazing... for a few months. We even pre treated a few panels with a mildew resistant chemical... didn't work. They are pretty much trash now. Don't consider this material for outdoor use in a humid climate.

Perfect for my specific purpose!
I bought this fabric to use as a protective covering over the upholstery in our new camper van. No sewing was required as I simply bought enough material to generously cover the sofa, bed/seating areas to protect them from wear and dirt from our 2 dogs (who travel with us), by tucking the edges of the material into the tight spaces where cushions meet the sides of the van. I also used pieces on the seat portions of the front seats, to protect against wear and food or drink spills. It was much less costly than commercial or custom-made seat covers, and it has worked perfectly. The material Is certainly heavy and durable enough to hold up to any dog wear, while remaining in place quite well due to it's weight. And it's been simple to lift them off each day to shake outside each day to rid them of any dirt, dog hair or debris, or easily fold up to store out of the way when not needed. It has worked very well, and extremely economically.

Awesome for outdoor cushions
It is just what I was looking for for my outdoor cushions. Feels and looks like nice fabric on one side and almost like rubber on the other side. If it rains, I don't feel like I have to remove the cushions from the chairs. Love the color, though it does fade in the sun a bit. I was looking and could not find anything like this at the big fabric store, and I did ask them.
