Racktime Talis Plus Gepäckträgertasche

A well-designed and engineered bag system that gives you more than you expect.
My bike was delivered with a Snap-it compatible rear carrier and these Racktime bags and panniers are designed to be integral with this proprietary system. See their website for details. This is an expensive bag; I started out slightly sceptical but I am now totally sold on it.German-designed - clearly with a lot of thought about what a cyclist might need in a bag on the back of his bike - it's extremely well made (and guaranteed). Mounting the bag is a breeze - it clicks on (and off) the Snap-it carrier with ease; When on, it's firmly attached; you don't need any strapping or other support. An unexpected bonus, which isn't fully explained anywhere in the ad or in the instructions, is that the two zipped side "pockets" actually contain drop-down panniers with an elasticated straps to fix to the carrier's frame. So it can be a carry bag as in the picture or, if you want, give you double the carrying capacity when used as a pannier system. As sold, it's quite light for its volume - a little over 900g.There's a neatly stowed high-vis rain cover within the zipped lid in case you get caught out in the wet. The volume of the bag itself can be increased, should you need it, via a second zip which allows the lid to expand upwards, as in some travel cases. There are a couple of general purpose mesh pockets each side within the main bag interior, two thin zipped compartments and a detachable shoulder strap.I generally like to cycle with a backpack and nothing carried on the bike itself. On longer trips, though, I need to carry more than the basic minimum and this system gives ample scope for getting the extra weight off my back and onto the bike in a secure and balanced fashion. I like this flexibility and convenience and I feel very confident that this bag will stand up to much use for many years - and that's quality worth paying for.

Excellent, roomy rack bag
I'd started commuting to work recently, only 2 days a week when I'm not working from home, so needed something to put a change of clothes/food in etc. My work rucksack is purely just for laptop & accessories, so not a massive amount of room for much else.Well this rack bag has made such a big difference, I've even been able to do a couple of shopping trips with it, there is so much room inside, I can easily fit 4x1l Tupperware lunch boxes in the main compartment, with a little room to spare. If needs be, the 2 "pannier bags" can be opened up for extra storage. These are not made in as strong a material as the main bag, and as such I don't put anything too bulky or heavy in these. There is a clip which fastens the panniers to the rack frame, making them less likely to flap about etc.Overall the bag has a weight limit of 10kg I believe, which is ample for my needs, even when shopping (have worked out this is the equivalent of 10 tins of soup!)You do get a waterproof hiviz cover which doesn't cover the panniers when opened, just the main bag, but this hasn't proved to be a problem thus far.Highly recommended bit of kit.

Wonderful bag
Brilliant top of. Very well made and clips into snapit rack very easily and securely. Bag has extra zip on top which allows lid to be raises by a further 2 inches or so, has an inner zip, the side pockets open to reveal two nylon drop down pannier bags plus elastic clips, also there is a yellow attached pull out rain cover built into lid which can be used in the wet or just for visibility. Carry handle and shoulder strap included. I've also purchased the locking system which is easy and effective. Quite expensive but I am very pleasedwith it.

More to this than you think!
I already have a Racktime rack on the bike so this bag just clips on.The bag looks so sleek, not sticking out or cumbersome, would have liked the blue one but weirdly it's over £15 dearer than the black one!Loads of pockets, inside and out, zips galore, allowing the bag to extend too. My favourite bit is the hidden panniers which neatly fold down and secure too the bike rack over the wheel. It's surprising just how much you can pack into this bag! There is even a bright yellow rainproof cover provided.Totally chuffed with this purchase, well made, surprisingly roomy and looks good, Shane the price dropped £6 in a week as it's not a cheap buy.

An ideal bag for every day use.
I really like the Racktime Talis Plus. It holds much more than you would think due to the expanding compartment and pannier. Very easy to fit to, and remove from my bike. The removable shoulder strap is a very useful feature also. It also came with a waterproof cover.

Perfect if you have the Racktime system
took me a while to track down this beauty as I wanted an affordable, yet decent bag for the Racktime system. This is ideal and has proven for the last few months that it was an essential purchase for the casual commuter.

would not clip into rack tome rack update re ragtime and bike
Bag looked good however.....Poor fitting instructions and limited information available on web site. When finally got pegs to match holes on racktime carrier would not engage fully and clip into place so unable to be used and returned for refund.Ordered just the adaptor to see if I could get it to fit, initially same issue would not engage, however then reversed the adaptor with clip facing back of bike and it fitted!!. My guess is that the racktime rack designed to fit Scott bike is different to other races. Have since modified old topic bag to fit adaptor and now have cycle bag that fits bike albeit the wrong way round!!

Well made
Very nice and we'll made product , rack system is faultless and the addition of side panniers are a bonus . Only critism is the overall shape does flatten a bit over time . Still does it's job 10/10 . Just to add it holds a lot more than you would expect enough for a rainy day out .
