Just under 3/8" Size not exact
I was going to use these to plug 2 bridge holes on a guitar body that are exactly 3/8". These dowels are just under 3/8". I tried the whole bag and each end. Too small. I'll keep them for future projects but quality control is clearly an issue with this brand.

Solid dowel rods without imperfections
The are solid dowel rods that pre cut to 12" inches in length. there are no imperfections in the dowel or funkiness to the grain. They are nicely finished with no sharp edges. The ends of the dowels are not rounded are are a pure crosscut of the dowel.
