Not as useful as it could have been,
I've just returned from the Algarve. The guide book was quite useful for planning what to visit before hand but when there it wasn't easy to use, having to forever turn to other pages. Also, some excellent places weren't mentioned at all while other places were made to sound not very nice from their description while they were. Directions to things weren't very good and the little maps next to useless. One thing we wanted to see we never did manage to find.

easy to use cleaf info but missing some sites of interest
I really like DK guides as I find them easy to read - clear information - it was missing some things though that I would have expected - such as the sand sculpture exhibition which has been on for 15 years and is not in the book
