The mat arrived in vacuum sealed clear plastic pouch. It took a while to get the worst folds out so it would lie flat. I tried the mat out on a cheap wooden cutting board to see how it would hold up to the heat. It did well, nothing burned through. I subtracted a star for the sharp creases which may or may not disappear with time.

I like my little solo stove copy, but the tiny little silicone mat that arrived with it makes me nervous. This mat is a great addition to my little packable stove. It's got a good distance for around the stove so if anything pops out or there is a lot of heat it can be caught on this mat. It packs down to next to nothing and can be stashed in the fire pit for travel.I like the green color and it goes great with the silver of my stove.

The main material is fireproof, but the outside 'trim' is not so be careful. It is the perfect size for a tabletop fire pit and the bottom has a nice non-slip texture, so it stays in place well. It looks nice, works well, a pretty good price point & is easy to clean. Good product - I recommend.

I got this for a small table top fire pit that I have for my balcony! Not only does its green color match my patio decor, it protects from potential hazardous conditions arising! I highly recommend this mat!!

I quickly discovered that when I used my stove, I often had to set it on the ground, and then had no place to set utensils, etc. Also, the bottom of the stove got pine needles, grass, dirt etc on that also needed to be cleaned off, in addition to cleaning out ash, etc (which at least has the advantage of being dry). This mat solves that problem. After using, I just hang it up to dry a bit if the ground was really wet, give it a shake and wipe it off, and put it away.
