Sarabec PL51 - PL51 AMPLIFIER

I purchased many phones for my hard of hearing uncle he’s 91 and the land line is very important to him. I purchased many phones and nothg did the job it said. So I thought I would try the amplifier I read up and looked at all the reviews so thought I’d give it a go. It took me about 20 minutes because it has a card inside the battery compartment that you change around to get the correct signal for your phone. After I did this and it was all set up it’s works fantastic. It’s clear it’s loud and my uncle can call me anytime and not feel stressed out because of not hearing me. It’s the best product I have purchased and would definitely recommend it

I don't quite know what others want when they say "it could have done more". It does exactly what it says on the tin! I purchased this for an old chap of 95 who's hearing is not as good as it once was and he's highly delighted with it. He can now hear (unfortunately) the content of all those spam calls he gets. More importantly when his daughter rings him in the evening they can actually communicate now. I've tried it too and the volume increases quite easily to the level you need. I think it's a fabulous piece of kit which couldn't be simpler to attach and use. Far easier for the elderly than learning how to use a new phone. So much so I ordered another for a lady of 90. Need I say more...….

So I am aware that the item warns that it might not work with all types of phones, but what I did not expect was for it to disconnect incoming calls, yes it does amplify, but not much use if noone can phone you while it's attached to your phone.

I was glad to have the opportunity to try this item on my mother's phone. Unfortunately it did not work on her phone so I have returned the amplifier for a refund. It was worth trying.The information on the website and indeed printed on the outside of the box said that the two AA batteries needed are included, but this was not the case. This was disappointing as I did not open the box until we arrived at my mother's house and then could not try it out and had to wait until the next time we visited having purchased the AA batteries.

I have profound hearing loss accompanied by 24/7 tinnitus which until now has made telephone conversations difficult. What a difference this amplifier makes, it's even more effective than hearing aids set on high volume. Setting it up was simplicity itself and took no more than five minutes to do.I now look forward to picking up the phone without having to explain to the caller that I'm a bit 'Mutt 'n' Jeff' and asking them to slow down, speak louder and more clearly.Without any doubt this is the best investment I've made in many a year.

Could not get it to work properly with the phone but it has an audio jack which is a real bonus and is the reason I did not send it back.

This works fantastic and is worth every penny.was easy to set up with the instructions provided and does its job great for someone with severe hearing problems and bilateral hearing aids.This has made the volume on a standard (while modern) rotary phone better than a specialised phone for those with hearing aids.couldn't praise it more!
