AMAZING! Follow instructions well!
I have semi-thin, semi-straight hair. I take good care of it and love how it looks straightened but don't like the hassle and damage of straightening it after wash day (1x per week). I heard of Japanese thermals and this was the only product I could find that is also reviewed SO well. It only took me 3 hours and my hair is shiny, pin-straight, and so beautiful. If you are like me and have similar hair, here's what I did from my research.BTW: the company of the product, Milbon, has a YouTube video of the process featuring tips and important things to note throughout the process. Please watch it before using the product!1. Triple shampooed. (I wash once a week so I wanted to make sure ALL the grease and buildup was out)2. Towel dry hair to 60-70% dry3. Section hair in 4 (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right)4. Saturate each section generously with the straightening cream without applying too close to the roots. Use gloves and prepare for the terrible smell! (move fast if you have thinner/straighter hair, it took my hair only 10 min)5. To see when your hair is done processing, every 5 min make a knot with a strand. If it loosens, keep waiting. If the knot stays in place while not being too tight, you are ready to move on. If the knot can tie real tight and is difficult to undo, you overprocessed - pray. (The YT video has photos of these)6. Rinse in a plugged tub or sink, dunking the hair in the dilute while rinsing, then empty the water and repeat (you are done once the water is clear and there are almost no bubbles)7. Blow dry and straighten. (we are halfway there so there will still be frizz and curve, dont worry!)8. Apply the neutralizer FAST. This only needs 5 minutes so you want your hair coated so everything happens evenly. Be messy if you must but wear gloves!9. Rise out with the same methods as before.10. OPTIONAL but this was amazing. Apply conditioner everywhere but the roots and rinse in a plugged tub/sink. Dip your hair in the conditioner water multiple times till you feel ready to continue and the conditioner did its job before fully rinsing. (This made my hair look and feel sooooo silky and drastically shinier)11. Blowdry and straighten again. You're done!AFTER CARE- No water on hair for 48 hours-No buns, braids, clips, or anything that can dent/bend your hair for 48 hours- Sleep with a bonnet on and make sure your hair is placed inside in a loose twist to keep everything together-No product for 48 hours! I love hair oil and this sucked but any product could mess with the chemicals of the treatment while it sets for two days, don't risk it! I didn't use heat protectant during the process for this reason.LONG TERM CARE:- Moisturize your hair! After washing, make sure you use a good conditioner and if you want, a hair mask! hydration is so important for treated hair and looks so good- Oil often! I use a thin oil every morning and night and every few nights mix some of a thicker oil for extra hydration. Please invest in this, looks so good and maintains hair health. Make sure it is the right oil for YOUR hair, quick research might help! You want it to melt in and shine, not sit on top and not absorb. (Also only apply on the hair jaw length and below)Good luck! Let me know if this helped you <3 Treatments can be risky so I want to make sure everyone does the right thing for their hair and that is through small changes

Did it work? Yes, but with issues
I waited over a year to do this review and imma be honest. Don't do it over box dye, highlights or any type of processed hair bc if it doesn't melt your hair off, it'll make it "crispy". I have had to do pre-poos to preserve the long hair I have left, silk sheets and bonnets, protective hairstyles etc.. My daughter is mixed so I literally had to adopt her haircare routine jnto mine, but I still had to cut 10 inches off, originally 30 inch hair, just to make it look decent. As much as I loved simple straight hair, I'm now in the process of growing it out to be virgin again. I won't be repeating this again. I give 5 stars bc it works and it truly is amazing. I messed up, not the product. Watch videos, education yourself, unprocessed hair ONLY, DO NOT PRODUCT GET ON YOUR SCALP OR YOUR STRANDS WILL BREAK OFF FROM TRACTION, aftercare is important and follow directions exactly.. do all that and it'll be great and you will love it.

It works !! BUT…
This is life changing to wake up and not have a cotton ball head but let me be clear I researched this. You can not have used bleach on your hair or used at home box hair colors in the past or else I warn you … your hair WILL FALL OUT!!! Just watch the YouTube videos if you don’t believe me! However…. If you’re Jaír hasn’t been bleached and has only been colored at a salon you SHOULD BE SAFE.. this is not professional advice and I am not a professional so.. do your research and good luck!!This thread has gotten a lot of attention so I wanted to give more details.I can not speak for all curl types.I’m Italian my curl type was a 3c as a child and is a 3b as an adult. The YouTube video I watched was a mixed girl (black/white) with 3c curls and it came out beautiful on her as well. Again I believe if you’ve done chemical processes and still want to proceed be sure to test a small part of your hair first. My last comment there are days I miss my natural curls lol but I still gotta say this worth it!!!!

You Can Do This!
I have bushy, thick, knotted hair, or DID until I got this product. My husband helped me to apply this and then the neutralizer after going through the steps listed on the back of the container. We also watched two videos online. It took a total of 4-5 hours but we were very careful and methodical as we worked. My hair was so unruly before that I've had hair stylists politely comment on it and what a job it is to blow dry!!! Now, my hair is stick-straight and very shiny. I saved myself $700, or so. Oh, by the way, I was told that you can't do this if you have foiled highlights in your hair because it will melt them. That's right: A Hairdresser in Japanese Thermal Straightening salon refused to do it for me because she swore that I'd end up with a head full of broken off hair. (My hair is long.) It did not melt my highlights and it did not really lighten the dyed base color on my hair, either. I bought the "normal". I am extremely happy with this product and will now have months' worth of straight hair. When the roots grow out curly, I'll touch them up, which will take far less time. You can do this! Grab a friend, read the instructions together and prepare for manageable hair and getting your life back.

Worth the purchase
Worked well for my curly frizzy hair, but did not leave it stick straight. It is wavy but very manageable after air drying, and only takes a few passes with the straightener to straighten it out compared to 1-2 hours of straightening before.
