Great little 4G router it was super easy to set up and works really well
Great little 4G router it was super easy to set up and works really wellI bought this MERCUSYS 4G router as cancelled my sky for a temporary internet connection, and it’s been brilliant. Just popped in a SIM card and it was up and running in minutes! No setup hassle at all.The 4G speed is solid, even with a few devices connected, and the signal stays strong. I have not used the external antenna ports. The Ethernet port is handy, and I love that you can control everything through the app.Overall, it’s a great value, no-fuss router

Good value and quality router
I think this router is well worth the money. Personally I bought this to be a fail over for my fibre service as the company I'm with is a small company due to no openreach fibre as of yet. We have had a few outages and that means we have been offline multiple times and the worst was nearly 24hours. We also have lots of WiFi controlled smart devices that don't work without a connection so I have this router setup as a fail over if and when the fibre goes down and the plus side you can take it on holiday or in the car. I'm using the smarty social tariff at £12 a month which uses three network. I have a high end phone which also uses three and where I live signal and speeds are poor at best I get 30mbps on my phone. On the router I have seen spikes of 50mbps but again settles at 30ish unless early hours of the.morning. I have been testing the devices ability over a few days and been switching off our fibre connection so we are completely relying on the 4g. I did this over a few days but longest test was a Saturday where kids were home and watching tablets aswell as me having the TV on and using phones. Now this handles it quite happily and we have over 30 devices online. I could still access my cameras remotely, I experienced no buffering and I was very impressed. I feel like for a small household who doesn't require internet to work from home this would be superb. I have it located upstairs using the internal antennas sort of in the middle of the house and that seemed to be the best combination for a location to have power and access to the loft to get ethernet to main router but also signal and speeds. I can't rate this thing highly enough. I have also ordered a 5v usb to 12v adapter as that will be easier to.plug in at home but also easier to power in the car or from a power bank if we have a power outage. My only complaint is it doesn't have a battery which I could find a single one on the market that provided battery and ethernet. Not the end of the world as I have a jackery power station but just something to bare in mind. The only thing I have noticed is the WiFi strength isn't the greatest with my tablet which doesn't really affect me as my.main router does the distribution but this may just be my tablet being weird. All in all id recommend this, I would also recommend getting the usb supply atleast then you can keep the router power by a power bank or similar and move it round your home to find your best signal location like I did. I will add that I've now purchased a 4g sercomm router from three. They are highly rated and yes it gets good speeds but it is unstable. Sometimes it just won't respond and it struggles with getting a good signal. I wouldn't want to use it for video calls or online gaming. The mercusys on the other hand although slower it just work and never has an issue. The fact that this tiny little router in my opinion beats a very popular highly rated router is beyond Me. I'm in an area where signal isn't great and no 4g+. I feel for like a motorhome or something this would be the perfect router for the job.

Easy setup
Impressed by not so easy setup to identify type of product at start of app :- setup process, initially it didn’t work until I selected the product setup product setup as “router”, did it the find the device:- after which it was then straightforward menu-driven setup.Once nano SiM orientation figured out and inserted, all lights turns solid “green”:- all ok and works like a treat , it’s 5G reception indoors, good reception of 5G, to my surprise getting 5G, it’s powerful enough t to pick up 5G signal indoors, happy with this, from past experiences this was my look-out for in routers with 5G providers SIM, at 5hz instead of 2.4 hzConstant power supply via plug is added value instead of battery powered router. The router box sits steady on table or flat surface which is a plus, RJ45 cable supplied is stiff and short for connecting to a WiFi- router when this is used as a repeater, ( paradox ), 2 routers in series. But works, no conflicts, connected netgear m2100 to this router: compatiable n works!!Please with promotional priced for SIM - router device,Reception signal pick up indoors good, all green lights on side of panel!A bit pricey for old technology but with broadband prices for wired broadband these days, SIM based broadband is a way of cutting unduly high cost of broadband without the added long term contracts, this setup n configuration adds value to you as a user! Would have liked the upload speed to be faster at 20 mb/sec! But trolled by provider of services! Otherwise product device meets expectation of 4G router

Great product
The best product of its kind, really simple just add your sim card in the slot and plug it in. Wi-Fi password is under the device. My sim is with 3 unlimited data and it’s providing internet to 2 phones, 1 iPad and a tv with fire stick, no buffering at all!

Router good, Smarty sim connection is trash
After using the router which I bought as a package with a Smarty SIM (3 network). I was apprehensive. With all of the 3 issues of the 90s, 00s it was a network I have swerved for decades.Seeing this deal, I thought, surely they couldn't be terrible still..wrong! They are still the pits. I actually thought the router was the issue because of the cheap price, but after many many many nights of frustration with ASD children, meltdowns and tears( mine) because I saw the pain and frustration in my child's eyes, I used the sim in my phone. After spending 2 months ( I forgot to cut off the reaccuring) I ended up having to use my phone as a hot spot for the first month is support of the sim for my devices and then fully take my sim out of my phone and put it into the router for the second.Immediate stable connection, all lights on.A bit laggy at times, but a lot better than everything buffering, even watching Now TV, which needs about 8bps to watch was just impossible. The router is fine, just get another sim to use with it.The router itself is small, and easy to connect. The idea of being able to take it everywhere is a game changer, especially if you travel and sometimes the broadband isn't very good.

Does the job for a small flat
Works fine for a small flat, no issues with the range and takes a mobile SIM card so fits my needs.
