Montex Pastry Board with Measurement 23.5“ x 19.5", Kneading Board Wood, Pastry Baking Board with Counter Lip

I just started learning to make sour dough bread and those silicone mats do not stay in place so thought I’d give this board one a try. Wow why did I not get this sooner? It is perfect has measurements right on board, stays in place and cleans up very easy. Definitely a must have for anyone that makes bread.

I had been using a silence made but it was so large. Got this unit and made bagel dough on it. The lips are great, very little flour was needed to keep the dough from sticking. Laser etched marks are great, easy to clean and big enough to work on without taking every square inch of a counter!

Heavy board with measurements embosed. Provides a clean surface for processing dough. Will not be without a board like this as long as I bake

This large pastry and kneading board is wonderful for my needs. I knead and bake a lot so it is perfect for me. I place it on my counter or over the top of my oven. It does not slide. Cleaning is a breeze.

Product cracked one month after delivery (just after return window). Had been used once with no abuse or improper storage.

Not only is this board practical, it is beautiful. It is so very large that there is no problem using it as a pastry board with flour and pie crust and pie balls. I love that it has the pie sizes, it helps so you can make it cylindrical and have the proper size so when you reach the desired size you can just fold it in quarters and place it in the pie pan. No more guessing or pulling out a ruler. And it helps to form it nice and round.I also like that I can place it right in top of the sink to clean it. I can also cut vegetables, and also put it right in the strainer to rinse.The first thing I did when I got it was oil. It was cutting board oil. It seemed to take forever for it to soak in, but it finally did. I’m not sure if this type of board should be treated, as you can see my other cutting board seem to absorb the oil , but with this one the oil just wants to sit on top. You can also see where I have two cutting boards laying on top of this one massive one.You certainly can’t store it under cabinets. It needs to be stood up. Mine is standing up next to my hutch, but that also makes it easier to grab. It will have its purpose.

The board is very large and solid/sturdy. The lips work well: one is facing up to contain the workspace, and the other faces down and works well along the edge of the counter to keep the board in place. I am using it as a cutting board, and it is great for meal prep to contain all of the cutting tasks in one place. The pastry side has laser engraved markings which are very easy to see. The engraving is not so deep that it will make significant marks in the pastries, or be difficult to clean. The one caveat with a board this large, though, is that you need a big sink to wash it. The lip actually helps here as well because it allows the board to be stood on edge for drying. This trick also works well for storing it on its side and out of the way. Overall and excellent work space and cutting board.
