Great look of bulbs

Very lovely and bright bulbs but had to return them as not compatible with the lamp

These vintage-style bulbs are amazing. They are the first ones I've used that work with Alexa. I have them in my bedside lamp, and the ability to adjust the brightness is just wonderful.

I like the quality of the bulbs themselves, they look really nice, and seem well built. They fit perfectly in the holders, but they're let down badly by the app.I have one light fitting with five bulbs, but the app won't let me group them together, even through the app has this function, every time I try, I go through the steps to group them, and on the final step, everything goes back to the start and a big "fail" banner pops up, with no explanation.I'm simply not prepared to adjust each light individually if I was to change the colour or brightness of my single fitting, it's just not practical. "Alexa turn bulb one to 50%, Alexa, turn bulb two to 50%";Balls to that, she doesn't understand what I'm saying at the best of times, and I don't want to give myself anurism every time I want to change the appearance of the bulbs, so, unfortunately, I'm sending them back, which is a shame because the bulbs themselves are nice.Also, it comes with a remote, for the four bulbs, but I have five, and try as I may, I just cannot get all five to work on the same remote, which could have worked for me, but it's just not possible.And just for the record, I'm not an imbecile when it comes to technology, I'm somewhat of an expert, so if you're thinking I'm just some old, ditsy, layabout, and you think you can do all of the things I can't, then don't risk it. You'll fail and you'll begin to doubt yourself, and think, "I'm just like that idiot who's review I ignored because I thought I knew better." Well you don't, so don't waste your time.

I love Edison bulbs as they add a stylish touch to lights

I wired a wall sconce not realising the one I was replacing actually had an off and on switch on it. Bought these bulbs and control it by the remote. Simple, looks good, job done

I use vintage Edison bulbs in many of my lights and lamps around the house, and was pleased to come across this smart bulb version, which look good and are smart with it.The pack comes with four bulbs and a separate mesh gateway. I found the mesh gateway relatively trouble free to install on the network, having downloaded the Aigosmart and created an account. Moving onto the bulb, which was more problematic to install, and after feeling a bit fed up I left it a couple of days t try again. Still didn’t work so I used a different bulb and it synced almost immediately (though the on/off/on/off/on flashing light routine didn’t work, but the app still found the bulb).Once installed you can manage brightness and light temperature and set up timings. But I’d like me you have an Amazon Echo device it’s really easy to set up and add onto your light routines. You just search for the Aigosmart skill, click on it and hey presto the bulbs appear to be added, so now the bulb can be used via voicecommand though Alexa. The integration with Alexa is essential to me, as I can control many brands of smart lights through it, rather than faff about with different apps. You do need to install the Aigosmart app, but once set up it’s completely controllable through the Alexa app or voice command.Overall I’m pleased with this smart bulb set and it offers good value for money. They lose one star as one bulb appears faulty, but the others all work fine. Four stars from me.
