I accidentally wrote bad review on this product and I'm sorry that I did so. I meant to write on other product from other seller. This hardwire dash cam works as described.

Used the kit to hardwire my dashcam. No issues so far. i connected it to the dashcam to turn on once vehicle is on. I am unable to comment on its battery protection as I didn't intend to use it for this purpose.

I love this wire device. The camera is always on. I can see criminals who attacks my car or anyone else. Camera sits in the window records what is happening and I send the video to police safely by email and no one will no the difference.

Easy to use , just tap the cables to a known 12 volt source , I usually tap then to rear view mirror connector to mount desired device on top of windshield.

Works so far as described, I haven’t verified it will stop the battery from draining yet. But it works great for my Papago camera

Buyer beware....while trying to fish the wire thru, the fuse holder separated from the rest. It seems the wire was not properly crimped. I had to remove my roof liner to get the fuse holder out. More work than I wanted. It doesn't come with a way to connect it to the fuse box so I have to wait to connect it when I get the connector. So for now I haven't tested if it actually works. After that I looked again and I found that for $1.00 more I could have bought a similar product that includes the fuse box connector and, at least in pictures, looks like better quality. Should have bought it.
