Solid!
The function of this case is straightforward. Plug in one or multiple HDDs, daisy chain them if needed and only use one USB port. Great idea! I definitely got what I was expecting but I was not expecting the build quality of this case!See, I only ordered the case, no hard drives in it. When it arrived and I felt the weight of the box I thought to myself, "Did they send a hard drive with it on accident?" Nope! It is just literally that solid! Thick casing, high-speed USB cables with really good build quality, silent cooling fan and, for what it's worth, there's something they do with the USB-C port that that makes the cable just click in with the most satisfying sound and feeling. Odd thing to appreciate, I know, but little things like that speak of quality and attention to detail. There seems to be no cheap parts or shortcuts on this thing.5/5, would recommend, especially if you have a lot of old internal HDDs sitting around or just need to build you're own tiny server. I will very likely get a few more of these in the future.

Quality, but runs a little too hot
I'm very impressed with the build quality, reliability, and circuits so far. This case is fantastically sturdy and stable. I'm also glad to see a big heat sink on the power supply itself. But since this is a quality case at a premium price, I'll give a nuanced review.I put a 16TB IronWolf in here, and I'm seeing a 14C to 16C temperature elevation on a drive with over an hour of activity. I've seen the HD spike as high as 20C over room temperature. Given my room temperature, the fan really needs to be stronger or the heat sinking needs to be better. I'm going to put heat sinks on the top of it with thermal tape. Either that, or I'll need to keep a desk fan pointed at it.Overall though, I would quickly buy this again. This is a metal case with a fan, and there's nothing better out there in this price bracket.

these are unquestionably the highest quality large capacity sata hdd enclosures I have used.everything about them is exceptional. all aluminum construction, a quiet internal fan and powersupply. it also functions well with the linux operating system. highest recommendation!
