Great for a beginner, my 12 year old got it no problem but she did know basic stitches before this. I suggest you look on you tube for "black and white crochet cat" videos as there is a step by step on there of this exact cat kit. The black one came out even better than the white. We will definitely purchase more kits.

Nice simple project with clear instructions & all the supplies needed to make a crochet cat family

When you open the instruction book, you instantly see all these abbreviations and numbers, or I guess like, “crochets codes” that, unless you’ve already crocheted, it’s immediately a bit off putting. At least, for my daughter and I it was. There is a QR code to watch tutorials that explains everything though. And then you move on to the stitching instructions for whichever form you’re making. I’m a visual learner, so I actually am grateful for the video tutorials. I was just a bit caught off guard by the instructions, not being able to understand them.

This is a wonderful and very cute crochet kit! It has easy to follow instructions, and a good value, just the same as those more expensive kits!

This is not a good beginner kit. This is my 3rd project as a beginner and the instructions are not easy to follow and not complete. I struggled through the first cat but I think it came out OK for a beginner. I am dreading doing this again for the second cat. Good points are plenty of supplies and everything is good quality.

This was a 1st time crotched project for my 11 yr old and it took her a couple days. She loved the learning process with this project and has just started her 2nd.

Haven't got it opened yet.I know it will be a great hobby.

This kit is said to be good for beginners, but even as an experienced crocheter, the instructions were difficult to figure out. I have had to watch the videos are few times just to even begin to help my daughter get started, but the videos are hard to follow since the person narrating them has a very accent. My daughter loves crochet kits, and we absolutely would not buy this one again.
