Great idea to use silicone for this purpose. Ice cubes can be removed easily without any force or banging and the trays are easy to clean. Genius

I like the shape of the ice cubes but they aren’t very big meaning they melt quickly and you needs lots in a glass.The other issue is getting them out. Because they are all silicone the ice sticks to them and heating up the silicone doesn’t really transfer heat well meaning you have to peel them out and that takes time. My other ice cube tray has a silicon base to the cube trays and plastic sides so you can easily pop them all out. That’s a better design.I do like the shape though, it’s unique and looks cool in glasses. I also like the lid as it stops random crumbs from the shelf above in the freezer falling into the ice while it’s forming.

Ok if you like little hexagonal ice cubes. They're fine for me, but if you like big chunky cubes choose something else.

Price when reviewed: £ 9.99.This kit comprises 3 black silicon ice cube trays with white silicon lids. I like that they are dishwasher proof which makes cleaning before use very easy. Each tray makes 37 ice cubes (111 from all 3) which is plenty for a day’s worth of cold drinks in my house.I found filling them was easiest with a jug before lifting by the end tabs to place on the freezer tray before putting on the lids. All 3 ice cube trays fitted onto my freezer tray. I used bottled water as the mains water in this area is very hard and as ice cubes made from it melt, they leave limescale in the bottom of the glass.Removing the ice cubes was straightforward. Twist the trays before turning them over and pushing out the ice cubes from the bottom. I emptied all 3 into a freezer bag and refilled the trays to make plenty more.Now the summer is here these ice cube trays will be getting lots of use especially as my local supermarket always sells out of ice once the weather warms up. If you have children, you could also make some ice cubes with diluted orange squash etc. to stop their drinks diluting as the ice cubes melt.

Does the job, but werry poor seal, before putting in freazer some of it leaks on the floor.
