Beautiful, Simple Hidden Object Game
Nightmares from the Deep is very well made. The art is colorful and very nicely drawn. Some of the scenes are really top-notch, like the view from the deck of the boat looking out at Skull Island. The voice acting is good. The story is banal (save the girl from a ghost that wants to use her as a vessel to resurrect his dead lover) but the cut scenes are nicely done and I enjoyed the element of finding doubloons hidden throughout the game that unlock animation snippets of the back-story. The hidden object scenes are nicely drawn but entirely too simple - no challenge at all. I do like that previously found items are no longer in the scene when you return to it, which is a nice touch. The inventory puzzles are generally straightforward and logical, which I appreciate. The minigames are interesting but generally too easy. The Collector's Edition extras are nothing special. The bonus game is a nice little story that takes place immediately after the ending of the main game, but it is short (30 minutes) and not worth paying extra for IMO - so grab Nightmares From The Deep [Download ] if it saves you a few dollars. If you really enjoy these kind of games, take a look at the game collection that this game is included in: Mystery Masters: Twisted Tales - 20 Pack - a much better deal than buying this game alone (if you haven't already played most of the games in the collection).Overall, this is a fine game. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as some other hidden object games like Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome - Collector's Edition or Dark Strokes: Sins of the Fathers - Collector's Edition , but it is well above average for the genre and well worth playing.

Really Good Game
The mini games were easy to do. The game was not short which I was happy about. I worked on it for 2 and a half days. A little easy to find the hidden items. It was a bit scary. I did not use the strategy guide. You can play without it. Would recommend anyone buying this game. It would be a good starter game for someone not used to playing hidden object games.

Pretty easy game
I liked this game because it gave you a map to show where you needed to go. But sometimes I like things a little more challenging.

Grows on you
At first I was not too enthused with this game but gave it some time, about 15 minutes, and then all was good with it.

I did not like this game.
this game is a slow starter, game has great graphics. It will, however, restart you from the beginning at random. It was very frustrating. I do not play this anymore...tried several times.got almost finished and it restarted on me.
