Leyland Trade Heavy Duty Floor Paint - Empire Green 5L

This is a really good paint. I applied mine with a brush, rather than a roller & because I had to split the work up into three sessions (for each coat), I tightly wrapped the brush in cling film till the next session & the brush was just as good a couple of days later when I re-started work. I brushed quite hard & spread the paint out as much as I could whilst ensuring the floor was completely covered. The brush marks just melt away & you can't see any when it dries. Second coat went on a few days later & again, brush marks disappeared. I was surprised to find it dry/cured after a couple of days, since it was quite cold & the atmosphere damp when I applied it & I expected it to take much longer. I had about 10 square metres to paint with two coats & I still have nearly a litre left out of the 2.5 litres I bought. I have walked on it & slid a large fridge over it (being careful!) and it didn't scuff the paint surface at all. Of course, at this stage I don't know how long it will last, but it does appear to be tougher than other floor paints I've used, so I'm hopeful. It looks very good. The cost was a fraction of other floor paints and it arrived quickly & was well packed. Excellent value.

This product goes a long way, it's very easy to apply, looks nice and works well. However, no matter how many coats you do, it won't hold up to the tires of your car driving back and forth over it. I park my car in my garage every day, it only lasted a week before you start to see a flaking where your tires park. This is the third time buying it, as each year I do a fresh coat on my garage floor. Unfortunately I'm committed to it for a while.

Does exactly what is says on the tin, it's been down for about 6 weeks now and it's looking good. The application is key, I swept and swept the garage floor and left it for over a week before I even walk on it. I can see people rushing this, not getting every bit of dirt up and then walking on it when it's not fully cured - muppets! Follow the instructions and it goes on well, although I'd make sure my coverage was at least 10% less than what the tin said.

Very easy to roller onto the garage floor, spreads really well and gives good coverage. Slate grey I went for and it looks really good.You have to have a clean surface prior to painting for it to look it’s best, Preparation is very important.I am hoping it won’t lift when I park the car in there. I will leave it to dry for several days just in case, as the last paint just came off. This paint seems much thicker and of far better quality.Recommended so far.Update : paint comes off where my motorbike wheels park, lifts off the paint after a few weeks. Disappointed as seemed to be good.
