Well worth every penny!
This is my big-fave cognac. It's a reasonable price for a premium quality bottle of brandy.

Tasty and elegant
Really liking this bottle. It is different from Remy’s other offerings and very close to making the XO unnecessary at the price. Complex, good on the nose, nice warm colour in the glass, and much too drinkable. Great, and worth the money imo.

Quality champagne cognac let down by poor packaging
You have got to admire Remy Martin. Unlike many of the other well known drink brands, it remains in family ownership and has resisted the temptation to sell out to the global conglomerates. This is admirable and explains in part just how and why it has been able to maintain its quality over the years. This is a fine champagne cognac that is dark and spicy flavoured. It is smooth too and is certainly a cut above some of the harsher products on the market. I would recommend this to anyone who has a taste for the good things in life and appreciates the subtlety of a fine champagne cognac. So why only four stars and not five? Well I certainly cannot grumble about the quality of the cognac itself, it is excellent, and at this price it is a real winner; you can pay considerable more for say an XO bottle from other producers that is not a patch on this. My one and only issue is that box that it comes in which is cheap looking and flimsy and distracts from the quality of the bottle and its contents. If I were going to give this as a gift, I would remove it from the outer box and give an un-boxed bottle.

Price was right
Remi is Remi and when the price is right it's time to go for the slightly dearer 1838. It's not harsh on the throat and is enjoyable with or without ice on the days you deserve a treat

Very Good
I have tried a good few Cognacs and this has proved to be the best so far. Very smooth and full of flavour. This is a great cognac for the money.
