Does what it's supposed to very well. I like that the latches self latch when you close it. Made of a more flexible plastic than my last one hopefully it's less likely to chip from a minor drop. Plenty of storage for paper and pens.

We bought this for our Mom for Xmas and she was happy with it. She also likes the color and it matches her calendar Right now, I'm using it for Mom--she's going through physical therapy and I use it for her paperwork and notes.What I like is that it has a small compartment at the bottom which is handy for storing pens, pencils rubberbands and paperclips, although I use it for pens

As a PE teacher, I’m never at my desk and the functionality of this clipboard allows me to take my essentials on the go! Pens, pencils, rosters, passes, slips, and other documents can easily stored in here without it feeling to heavy. The clip quality is strong & both compartments never open on accident. Great value for the price!

The media could not be loaded. My old storage clipboard was wearing out at the hinges so I thought I'd better start transitioning to a new one. This is my first time having one that opens the way this one does and my first time having one with completely separate compartments with separate lids.Pros:-Separate pencil compartment. Wasn't what I'd recently been used to, but it's actually REALLY nice to have. Having its own hinged lid is SUPER convenient; I can switch pencils or grab an eraser without needing to open the whole clipboard and possibly disrupt my work. It's much less messing around.-Book-style/horizontal opening main compartment. I hadn't realized how much more convenient this would be. It just feels more natural for one thing, and for another, all my papers on the front of the board don't flop around as much when I need to access the main compartment underneath. The whole opening-closing process feels more compact and, for someone like me who often writes in bed, it's much more convenient (I sure am using that "convenient" word a lot, aren't I?) to open sideways than to lift the whole lid up to get inside. At least, it feels that way to me.-Metal rods in the main hinges! Yes. The hinges for the main compartment are plastic but utilize metal rods inside, ensuring a more durable hinge than an all-plastic one.Cons:-There's a bit of a weak point at where the pencil compartment butts to/joins with the main compartment. Nothing serious, it just annoys me when I lift the clipboard from the end and I see the seam forming from the plastic bowing a bit.-The Pencil Compartment utilizes thin-plastic hinges that may be prone to wear out. These are not rod-style hinges, but just thin plastic that's supposed to bend over and over, hopefully without cracking or breaking. Granted, these hinges shouldn't see a ton of stress, but this style of hinge always makes me nervous.Takeaway: Overall I've been really enjoying this clipboard. It's decent quality and has opened my eyes up to several features I didn't realize I'd enjoy so much. When this one eventually wears out, I'll know exactly what to look for in my next one.Thanks!
