Ordered 4, none of them work!
It seem the only thing that actually works is the power LED on the board itself. I cannot get any communication to any board attached, and none of the 4 I received even power any of my ESP32-CAMs with a simple blink sketch. I was hoping to power the cam and add a DHT11 or other sensor with additional pins, however these are absolute trash. DO NOT BUY

Neither one of these works
Neither of these units work. Power light does not come on, not recognized as a port. Through-hole soldering looks really sketchy with flux residue eveywhere. I really wish they would work. Will probably return when I have some time

Does not work at all-stay away
I have another ESP32 CAM programmer that works just fine. I used a known, good ESP32 CAM board for testing. Tried these out and followed the instructions in the product description- will not put the board into programming mode. The traces on the back of the board look hand painted too- go with a different option and stay away from these

Broken, don't waste your time.
The whole point of this product is to make it easy to connect to an esp32-cam. After spending hours troubleshooting this board, I pulled out my ancient FTDI TTL serial port and connected to the camera. The board wouldn't show up as a USB device when connected to my computer. It wouldn't even power on. Then I find out that it isn't even designed to connect to the kind of board I have.

Great ESP32-CAM Test Board
This board works really well for the ESP32-CAM, having a few of those cameras this makes it far easier to handle the connection and programming. You can keep it attached and use it as a dedicated board or simply use it for programming and offload the camera at a later time. The board itself is super simple to utilize and can get it up and running with arduino by simply booting up one of the samples.

Not plug and play
Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought that when I plugged the CAM board into this and plugged in a UBS C the cam would come up. Doesn't work that way. Not sure how it works. Will update this if I figure it out.

Compare to other esp32 programming boards. These don’t work
Well it didn’t program my esp32 cams. And one of the boards usb c popped off the board. I’ll have to try and solder it back on, but what a crap soldering job by the factory. Look at some of the other esp32 cam programming boards. They have a lot more components on them. Another Chinese scam I’m afraid.

Defective
Could not get these to work. Connecting an ESP32-CAM would disable the cam. The only way I could make it work was to manually wire 5V, GND, U0R, U0T pins (only these pins). Luckily, the seller had great support and offered a refund.
