After scouring the market in search of oregano oil that contained the highest percent of Carvacrol, we noticed that the average content was only between 60-80%. Knowing Carvacrol is the most important beneficial compound naturally found in the leaves of the oregano plant, we set out to see if we could create something stronger. We dove head first into researching this plant, best growing practices and regions to source from. Finally, we discovered Origanum Onites, from the same genus as Origanum Vulgare. This wild grown species of oregano, however, yields a much stronger and more potent level of Carvacrol. To ensure potency our oil undergoes a special production process. Once the leaves are steam-distilled and the oil is pressed from the plant, each batch is third party lab and verified for purity and potency standards. If you have ever tried oregano oil, you know that if taken undiluted, it could burn the mouth or throat - yes, it's that strong! It must be cut with carrier oil or large amount of water to safely consume the product. Because of this, we pre-dilute our mixture with wild olive oil. This leaves us with a blend that is ready to be enjoyed straight from the dropper. While it still might take some getting used to because of the strength of this leaf, you can always dilute a few drops in water first for an even milder experience.
