This kit worked great in reviving my 5th generation iPod classic.

purchased for a 7th gen classic, I have had it installed for awhile now and it seems like a fresh battery. battery level doesn't dip and recover randomly.

I've ordered this twice now; both times, it would not charge after being plugged into the battery connector. This isn't a user error, either; I tried re-attatching my old bloated battery to see if I had made a mistake somewhere in the process (black in the photo), and the old battery charged just fine. Both times I've used this battery, it just won't function the way it's supposed to. I was really excited because the lithium battery already had a charge, but it just wouldn't hold anything when plugging it in (says it's charging, only for the battery to go DOWN). This is really disappointing for me; I'm restoring my childhood iPod and was so excited to use it with a battery that could hold a charge.

The tools broke immediately. I had to order a different better set of tools to actually replace the battery. The battery works great, you do have to discharge and recharge it a couple times to get it to work correctly.

Worked on my 80GB 6th gen! If you don't mind a cheap battery fix, this is worth.

Firstly saves a trip a retail store to get a new battery installed and saves both time and $$$. Took maybe 20mins to install battery and my iPod showed paper immediately, no issues at all. Hooked back up to the iPod cable in my car and good to go…Also this battery has more power than the original. Highly recommend seller/battery. Thanks

This battery holds it’s charge pretty well. I don’t use my iPod everyday but I am able to go days in between charges with this battery. It’s easy to install and looks almost identical to the original battery.
