Good cook book if you like cooking

My mum had this when I was a kid , I had it when mine were young and it was like gold .Re bought it and I’m glad I did , it has all the basic recipes you’ll ever need . I make everything from scratch to avoid processed food . Going to treasure this copy and not let the pages get gunged up with butter and egg like my last one . It seems small for price , but don’t be fooled it’s chock full of information that is easy to follow . Best baking book out there no new fangled weird recipes .Cannot recommend highly enough !!!!

Had one many years ago, this is updated, great little book, simple everyday baking sweet/savoury meals,ideal as a gift for new couples.

Sometimes the old recipes are best,like this book.

Is a very good cookbook

Excellent book easy to follow recipes uncomplicated this is one of the books for the first time home cook. I still have the original one I had but it’s a bit tired so this is a replacement

Gift, book contains so many lovely recipes

Couldn't believe how much 'vintage' copies of this book cost, so delighted to find this one so reasonably priced. I think it was the main if not only cookbook in our house when I was growing up (we usually just guessed and hoped and the oven -an ancient grease encrusted range - had no temperature settings, so you just turned it half way or all the way or whatever, but nobody died).
