Works just like the Canon printer cartridges!Update: While the color cartridge did work well at first, the red ink has run out well before the other two. Can't use it that way, so am buying from someone else next time.

Great for aftermarket, one of the review also stated that this cartridge shows ink level, and it did!! Awesome will purchase again but it is pricey for aftermarket.
