Actual Metal Gears!
I've ordered a couple of MG90S servos from different vendors and have often been disappointed that they were using plastic internal gears. In this case - these MG90D's have exceeded my expectation.I haven't done more than put them on a servo tester yet - but from initial testing I can see that they are a full metal gear stack, and seem to work well.I hope to get them installed in some projects this weekend, and I will report back if there are any issues.(I'm not anticipating any.)Currently they show out of stock - I am hoping that they restock, as I would reorder.

Superior to the blue plastic-gear variety
These MD90D servos are vastly superior to the cheaper SG90 (blue) varieties that have plastic gears. The all metal gears are absolutely worth it in almost every use case. And typically (for me, at least), these servos get installed in places that are very tricky to replace, so when a plastic gear gets stripped because of some bug in the code that over drives it, it’s a pain to replace. Having the metal gears makes this far less likely to happen. These have a 2.4kg-cm stalling torque, which is also better than the blue plastic SG90, which has a 1.8kg-cm stall torque, otherwise they can totally replace the blue ones. These also have a very cool 360 degree continuous rotation capability. 5 stars.

Super tiny
These are very small as you can see in the picture. Make sure you need the full rotation version of this size servo because not every servo does full turns. They do t generate a to of torque, but if it is in your spec they seem to be fine.
