Light weight
It was easy to remove the shipping beeswax with hot water and dish detergent. After thoroughly drying I applied an extremely light coat of grape seed oil and placed in the oven for an hour. After cooling I repeated the process 4 times. All very easy to do. I use this pan primarily for French omelettes, but I’ve also used it for other style eggs and crepes. Nice pan, very slippery after seasoning. Highly recommend after two months of near daily use.

It’s a keeper!
I don’t know why it took me so many years to figure this out! The carbon steel pan is the way to go. Got tired of running to Target to buy crappy non stick pans. SEASON IT, watch some YOU TUBE videos on seasoning carbon steel pans, and how to cook with it. Start with butter for your oil til you get it.If you do it right, after your done cooking you can just wipe it out with a paper towel, clean.

Defective
The pan arrived with obvious blotches on the surface. We cleaned as best as possible and used once. Now the pan simply isn't usable. See attached pics.Return instructions are directly me to physically return the pan to an Amazon distribution center that's a 70 mile round trip.Bad experience.

Steel pan
Followed the break in instructions but that produced poor results. The pan is heavy and needs a silicone grip to keep from burning your hand. Women won't use it because it is too heavy. After many uses, when I do the cooking, it is begining to show signs of non sticking. I suspect after a few more months of use it will be a good alternate pan. I prefer my old stainless pans. Stainless takes some practice too to get the heat just right. Not for the person that uses a teflon pan as a basic cook.
