These are nice soft recoil pads for Rifles that have a lot of recoil. I installed one on a shorty double barrel 12 gauge, and it took a lot of the bite out of shooting the 5.5lb shotgun. These pads slide over the stock in no time at all, about 10 seconds in my case. There is a secondary pad that can be installed for more comfort, but you have to be careful as it makes the length of pull longer. This is no problem when shooting from a bench with open sights, but the pads might put your eye back far enough to need to move the scope back a little. This is preferred to taking a lot of recoil from a magnum caliber rifle or heavy load shotgun. The material is nice and soft and not in the way at all, land it is more comfortable then many of the cheap rubber pads on the market. A very good value for the money.

The dims had no effect on my cheek weld and the lack of recoil really helped me pull into my shoulder through my rounds. I’d say this is the closest I have ever felt to achieving the concept of a firearm being an extension of my body. I recommend!
