At this price, I truly expected this to be a lower quality piece of furniture. It is an excellent value. I bought it to stage my home for selling and cover up an ugly non functional fireplace.This is a nice and heavy piece of furniture. The finish on the laminate is extremely durable and resistant to scratching. The laminate is on all sides of the pieces so you don't have to worry about seeing expressed particle board from any angle.It was extremely easy to put together with just a drill (electric screwdriver would have been finetoo) and a short Phillips head screwdriver. I did it by myself in about 90 minutes but it probably would have been easier with another person.Having assembled my fair share of Ikea furnishings, I can honestly say that they should take a lesson from this manufacturer. I had no fear of cracking particle board or screws going off center. Pilot holes were pre-drilled, everything lined up perfectly and the largest screws have metal threaded receivers embedded into the pieces. It is really solid.I should mention that you have the option to choose the brick look or to choose the wood finish for around the heater itself. I didn't really get that from the description but it's nice to have options.I live in Arizona so I really can't speak to the heater portion of this. But when I turned it on it blew out hot air and adjusted as I turned to the temperature up. So I'm going to count that as working.

At first glance it seemed impossible for two 80+ year old women to put this fireplace together. There were so many parts! But once we got started and arranged all the parts in order, we found that everything was there. There were no verbal instructions but the diagrams were perfectly clear. Every piece was numbered. and everything fit together. It took us a little more than 3 hours to put it together and the finished product is exactly what I wanted. Whoever designed this product deserves praise.

Positive feedback and it did come out nicely. Though it is most certainly a 2 person build. Also the hardware for the shelves could be a bit more solid. Twist to hard on the shelf locks and they crumble and then dont come back out. It looks a bit cheap but what can you expect for less than 200.00. I like the open top for stashing things but it having to be away from the wall to open could have been done with proper hinges. Looks better flush on the wall.

I love this electric fireplace … the size, color and sturdiness is perfect!!! The value for money is right on! It looks so classy in my small living room … which I put right underneath a 55” TV …. Great buy!!!

I love this fireplace, the instructions were very easy, I did it all by myself even though it says two people, if you need another beautiful piece of furniture in your home I give this my 💯

Perfect size for my downsized apartment. Assembly wasn’t too difficult. I would recommend!

Remote did not work replaced battery’s. Was not able to try unit until warranty was already out. Unable to adjust at panel. Turn on and seems to be set at 68 degrees
