Such a gorgeous book!
What a fascinating and gorgeous book! The designs inside this book, and the way the pages are designed- the look- the feel- reminiscent of old gothic dark ages design is absolutely stunning, whether you’re flipping through the pages or displaying it on a bookshelf, it’s a sight to behold.I enjoyed reading this very much!

Lovely presentation of the classic!
This edition of Inferno, part of the Devine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, is a lovely edition of the book, translated by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This book is part of a collection called the Gothic Chronicles and it is a beautifully put together by the publisher. This is a great book to gift to someone or to give as a collection. The cover is a maroon color, a great choice for this particular book as it is "Inferno" which I can see represented by fire, therefor the maroon is a fitting color. The text and cover design is in gold colored inlay which is perfect, giving a rich feel to the whole presentation. It feels like the paper used is a very bright white and this makes it so much easier to read. It is formatted to include lots of space which also helps with readability. This is a great copy, very worthy of gifting!

Love the fire red page edging--not the greatest edition to read
This Gothic Chronicles Collection looks wonderful on display. The gilded covers and colored page edges are stunning. The fire red page edges are the perfect choice for Dante's Inferno.I've read Longfellow's translation before, and I'd probably look for a more modern translation if I were to read it again. The medieval references are difficult enough to understand without having to decipher the poetic language. My first time reading I didn't have an edition with a lot of footnotes and a lot of the references went over my head. This edition is beautiful, but if you're serious about reading it I'd look for another translation geared towards understanding the references.

Beautiful edition
Beautiful edition of Dante’s Inferno in a dark blood cover with nice crisp large printed letters inside and embellished pages with frames to further create an enjoyable reading experience. This is part of the Gothic Chronicles book series. It would make a great present by itself or as a complete series with other titles as “The Raven” from Edgar Alan Poe.

MUST READ: Great for horror book lovers
This beautiful translation of Dante Alighieri's Inferno, which is a section of the Devine Comedy, was done by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This book is masterfully put together by the publisher and is part of a series called the Gothic Chronicles. Give this book as a collection or as a present to someone. I think the maroon hue of the cover is a perfect choice for this book since it represents fire, as "Inferno" is one of the book's symbols. The cover artwork and lettering are flawlessly inlaid in gold, lending the entire presentation an air of richness.
