These work great.
I often wonder when I see wide swings in feedback about an item. Since these DVD+R DL disks were so inexpensive, I thought I'd take a chance. I have not been disappointed. I've burned about a dozen so far, and the transfers have been flawless. I'm burning at a conservative speed (2-2.4) and have not had a defective burn yet. I'm very satisfied and will purchase again. These do come in a bulk pack, so save one of your previous canisters to hold this media.

Good quality discs!
The Gigablock DVDs work exceptionally well. I tried to use a cheaper dual layer dvd brand but they were useless because there were so many errors and mistakes the discs were unwatchable or not even useable! The Gigablock discs worked great! I have had very very few problems with the discs and no discernable glitches or errors when watching the discs. I recommend this brand.

Very good product.
I like the product. It is as advertised and no problems so far. The fact that it comes without a spindle, as some people have mentioned here, was no problem for me, as I have saved the spindles from previous DVD disks I had and just put these disks on those spindles. As for the disks, I have used a fair amount of them for home movies. I am giving this product 4 stars because there have been times when the disk failed to "start disk-at-once" and the DVD recording failed. I don't know what causes this, but I found a way around it. The trick that worked for me was to re-record the same project on the same disk and it has worked the second time. It is annoying but at least it has a happy ending!

Def buy these. Don't waste your money for brand name recognition. These work great.
You know something. These babies worked like a charm. I was burning on max speed and had no problems. Sometimes they tell you to burn at a lesser speed for them to work.. you don't have to with these. These were very cheap, but so worth the money. Dont buy verbatim, when these things work the same.

This product is a SCAM! AVOID THIS PRODUCT!
I've edited my reviews 3 times already. So it turns out these dual layer DVDs ARE TERRIBLE!!!I bought these to test them out. I always use TDK because they are just as good as Verbatim and cheaper. So I tested burning some of these for my backup games and games under 8.5GB work 75-80% of the time. Any game that's 8.7GB+ WILL NOT BURN! I thought wait. I have a few TDK disk left over, let me try and see if it's giving me the same problems. TDK WORKS 100% WHILE THESE FAIL! I use Imgburn to burn my dual layers. When I put these DVDs in, the smaller games burn with 80%. I never had issues with DVDs failing on me since I bought a Sony Optiarc burner AKA the official no flash required to burn backups. When backups are 8.7GB, I get a popup asking if I want to send to BurnerMax Payload (which I click NO) and then another popup asking if I want to truncate or overburn. None of those options work. Even my old Macbook Pro unofficial DVD burner can burn somewhat decent backups. It's these DVDs. AVOID THIS AT ALL COST!!! They are also very slow and I hear my DVD drive reading/writing like crazy. These are the products that will KILL your other devices that try to read them. To think,Original review -I have been burning dual layer DVDs for years and have a lot of experience with them. I bought these recently to try them out because they're one of the cheapest on Amazon. I have burnt using many burners and disk so I am confident to give these disk a non bias rating. I am burning using the best dual layer hardware for my backup games - Optiarc SATA DVD RW Burner Drive. This burner requires no flashing and is the ONLY burner that burns 8.7 GB capacity game with NO PROBLEMS... stock! With that said, my first burn was flawless. However, it is slower. So I tried burning 2 disk next because I have 2 Optiarc burners and 1 failed. My bottom drive that is not the default burner. So I burnt another disk in that drive that failed and it failed yet again. However, I burn using my default one and no problems. When it fails, the popup says something about my battery so I suspect that it has to do with my Corsair 430 battery in my custom desktop. Sounds silly but in the world of computer and electronics, the smallest thing leads to a snowball effect. I am using imgBurn also. If you're one of those people having problems, it is most likely your burner (Optiarc is the best official burner stock so you don't need to flash your drive or anything). Burning regular 4.5 GB DVD's is different than burning a 8.7 GB DVD and requires specific drives. I do acknowledge that I did have 2 disk fail on me and never had a problem with TDK disks which are the cheapest and best. Comparable to Verbatims but cheaper. That is my review but feel free to ask me questions here.

They're cheap and they work.
I burned 100 of these in a row at the rated 8x and only got two bad burns.Be sure you have an empty spindle around to put them on, because all they come in are two of those plastic disks like you see at the top and shrink wrap.

Can't get it to work
I can not get the DVD to record or copy to this disc. It has an error code saying that I need to download firmware for my DVD drive. I can make 4.3 GB disc with no problem but not with this 8.5 GB disc.I am using an LG internal DVD drive. It is just gathering dust right now. Not sure if my DVD burner is not compatible with the disc.
