Lansinoh mOmma Feeding Bottle, 8.4 Ounce, 2 Count (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I had to return to work and my exclusively breast-fed child was refusing the bottles that I had on hand from nursing my older child. Those bottles were the typical baby bottle with slow-flow nipple and the ever popular Dr. Brown bottles. Those had worked great with my older child, but this one wasn't having it! Tried everything to get her to take a bottle - having her dad & others give a bottle, leaving the room/house while others gave the bottle, changing the nipple for different flow speeds, etc. -- to no avail. Did a bit of quick research and decided to try the mOmma -- SUCCESS! The little one looked a little sceptical at first, but once she tried it she naturally settled into the same suckling rhythm of breastfeeding. Luckily, the mOmma worked for us on the first try and I didn't have to spend a bunch of time & money on the other recommended brands.The only cons (which don't really bother me) are: (1) doesn't fit into the standard bottle warmers, thermal bottle bags, or bottle sterilizers (I don't use any of these items); and (2) don't waste your time/money on the round bottle brush - its messy to use! Some have mentioned that the ounce markings are hard to see, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I place the bottle on a white/light-colored paper or dishtowel to provide contrast and get down to the level of the bottle to eyeball the markings when pouring in expressed milk. Others mentioned that the nipples aren't marked with the flow level. I found that mine were marked 2 - slow flow, 3 - medium flow, and 4 - fast flow, but its definitely difficult to see the markings on the bottom of the nipple!Anyway, my suggestion is get one of the 8.4 oz bottles & the slow flow (2) nipple and give it a try!

I would have liked to have the fast flow nipples, this product comes with the slower flow and you do not have the option of choosing which nipples come with your order.

We had the smaller one that worked great for our 8 week old son, so we decided to get more of the same brand because we had good luck with the smaller bottle. But there are NO BOTTLE WARMERS THAT FIT THIS PRODUCT because of the bottle shape and size that we could find. The diameter is just too large for every bottle warmer we looked at. So if you want to warm up bottles in a boiling pot or microwave these will probably do fine. If you plan on using a bottle warmer find another product!

Not what I expected. Really low quality with a high price. I've got much better quality from other brands. And because of its shape it almost doesn't fit in any of the diaper bag pockets nor the stroller cup holder, so you just have to throw it in the bag, and it'll leak and you'll have a mess! Would not recommend this product.

These bottles are supposed to be excellent for gassy, hard to burp babies, but I can tell you they are not. The nipples do feel very similar to real human nipples, which makes it easy for a breast fed baby to switch. The shape of the bottles also allow for more feeding positions than a traditional bottle. The airflow is not at all like they say it is though, I had to switch back to my playtex ventaire bottles. I am hoping to use these once my baby is bigger and burps easier though so I kept them.

I absolutely LOVE these bottles! I am a breastfeeding mom and just starting working again a few months ago. At first I had been using Nuk bottles and my baby would just play with the nipple half the time. He really had a hard time latching on so it would take a really long time to feed him. So, I really needed to find a bottle that would work for him. After doing a lot of research I decided that these would probably be the best choice. And, I'm glad I went with these. The pricing is pretty good. I love the look of the bottle. Baby has able to hold it up really well by himself and he's not even 6 months old yet. The labeling of ounces on the side of the bottle is a little bit hard to read but in good lighting it's really not too bad. The feel and texture of the nipple is really soft and smooth. Also, very pliable and seems to fit extremely comfortably and naturally into his mouth. I am sure this would be a great bottle even for mothers who are not breastfeeding. I highly recommend these bottles! Hope this helps.

After four months if refusing the bottle, my son finally took the lansinoh mOmma bottles. Thank you Lansinoh!! We tried countless other brands, nipples, bottle shapes, etc. I think the nipple on this bottle is what finally did it. It resembles the real nipple the most of all the bottles we tried.The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it bothers me, everytime, that there's always just a little bit of milk left in the bottle. Because if the spherical shape, it's extremely difficult to get that last bit if milk into the nipple. I think Lansinoh should have designed the bottle so that there is one flat side, so milk can flow easily into the nipple.These bottles are also easy for my LO to hold.

Leaks and makes noise while baby drinks waking baby up!
