Tastes like I remember Barley should taste. Made the mistake of purchasing some Bob's Red Mill Barley. Tasted like wheat! This product is great and we use it for soups.

I purchased this to make mushroom and barley soup.It did the job perfectly and the barley tasted great.I chose pearl barley as it is quicker to prepare and no soaking required. I did rinse the barley before adding to my recipe, just to be safe.So far I've made three pots of soup thus far and have enough for another one before I reorder!

I like soups with barley but it is hard to find at my small grocers. I have this now in my pantry ready to use in my own Italian wedding soup. Barley provided a different texture, its fresh, is an essential in Italian wedding soup. Cooks well Italian wedding soup has Barley, tiny meatballs, spinach and chicken broth..it is a good recipe to know.

THis is a high quality barley, at a good price

The barley pearls are very tiny. Can only add to your food for 30-40 min before done. I like larger barley that Will cook for a few hours to get more flavors. But it does taste good
