Work o.k. but is a bit fragile!
This filter is very fragile, although, it does the trick and makes decent coffee. Over all, I'd remove the little handle since it's not really necessary. It always gets in the way if you decided to use a paper filter also, which we find ensures no small coffee grinds get through to the pot.

Does the job
Given a coffee maker when we moved in & bought this. Easy to use, no leakage, quality seems good and works well.

Great brew
When I was using paper filters, I got grounds in my coffee because the water flowed over the sides rather than through the filter. This metal filter doesn't do that. My coffee tastes better with it.

The solid bottom makes it annoying to clean
I didn't think about this when I bought it, but because of the solid bottom, you can't empty and rinse it out as easily as you can the ones with a mesh bottom. It's not too terribly difficult or anything, it's just noticably less quick and convenient. It seems solid enough and well made. All in all good quality for the price, but I won't get another one of this design - I'd rather replace mesh bottom filters more often than waste a minute every day getting stray old grounds out of the filter.

Wish I would have bought this sooner
This saves so much money, is easy to clean, and the perfect size for my average typical coffee pot

Good for a back up to paper filters but
We bought one of these and another stainless steel version to keep in the kitchen as a back up to paper filters for our Mr Coffee 12 cup machine. We also brew teas with the machine and the paper filters tend to clog when using certain teas. This particular filter screen design worked well but we did notice that only the sides of the filter have the micro screen material and the bottom of the unit is solid plastic. So it’s not quite what we were looking for. There’s a stainless steel filter that works better and costs about $2 more that has the micro screen material on the sides and the bottom and acts more like a true paper filter. But this plastic unit didn’t leak and brewed jasmine tea like a champ!

Better than paper
Paper filters overflow during the brewing process.I bought this filter which almost solved the problem but it still makes a mess when brewing. It overflows and fine coffee grounds make it through into the pot.It does not have holes in the bottom.I bought a stainless that does have holes in the bottom and sided and it works great.
