We needed an ornament to remember our trip to Bruges Belgium. The keeping of the Royal Swans was seen as a symbol of wealth and prestige, something Bruges had in abundance owing to its merchant trading. To further emphasise its prosperity, the City procured the right to keep these magnificent birds from the Count of Flanders.

Veautiful and well made. I've been collecting ornaments from this series for a few years, sometimes they come with the string to hang them, this one did not (it does have the hook thing where you can tie a string yourself). However, unlike the other ornaments, this one has a wide, flattened bottom and can sit on a table on it's own, so you can also display it that way if you'd like and skip the string altogether.

This is the perfect Christmas ornament for any planter lover. The quality is even better than the photo depicts. I found it fun comparing the plants in the ornament to those I have in real life. This was a great additional to my Christmas tree.

Hallmark ornaments have a reputation for quality and that is reflected in this lovely mute swan. More than the quality it is the design of this ornament that I appreciate. I'm glad I bought it.
