Effective
First things first, these lens ARE polarized, I checked this first thing as there are several reviews that say they are not. They are weakly polarized so they do not turn black when turned versus a stronger pair of polarized lens, but they DO darken. Second, I think the idea of a weaker polarization is better for night driving as it does not over darken the ambient light. I tried my least polarized fishing glasses and they work well, but the night really seems dark when I wear them. The blue blocking effect is helpful as it helps counter the ambient light lost to the polarization. Overall, I like the glasses, they are light weight and comfortable. I would have rated a 5 but they do not completely remove the halos around oncoming head lights. They do remove much of the scattered light and make night driving much easier.

Great Glasses and do what they advertise for most people. However not everybody's eyes are the same!
I purchased these and the first time I used them I love them! They cut the glare of most oncoming lights and brighten the road. I drove all night in the rain before I had these glasses. The glare of lights was almost painful, obliterating my night vision. I couldn't see the road or lines. Then I bought the Duco Night Driving Glasses and they did the job superbly! The yellow polarized tint softened the glare on most headlights. It reduces the "star-ray" effect and made lines easier to see. Most headlamps use standard filament bulbs in a warm-white color. However, newer LED bulbs are often in a blue range which is much brighter and has a longer range. With these glasses, the standard bulbs will show up as a reduced yellow light. The blue-tint LED's show up as white light, therefore they appear brighter and more intrusive than the others. So you notice them more, even though they are reduced somewhat, yet not as much as the standard bulbs due to their increased luminosity.LED bulbs also are brighter with these glasses because an LED chip creates light in a semi-polarized manner. Polarization is filtering light so that the disorganized wavelengths of normal light can only pass if they line up to the polarization (crystal) lines in the glass. So any light coming in at any angle other than 90* or 45* does not pass. This organized light reduces the "glare" factor of light bouncing all around the inside of your eye. Coming in distinct linear waves reduces eyestrain.Ignore the little "polarize check card" in the packaging. These are worthless! A true test is to wear the glasses in the daytime. As you drive, look at oncoming car windshields. Polarized glass will reflect a yellow/green/blue mirror look with these glasses (depending upon the color tint of the glasses). Side windows and some rear windows will appear darker. This is because windshields are more heavily polarized than the rest of a car's windows (except perhaps the rear in some makes and models). If you see the reflective rainbow look, your glasses are properly polarized.Everybody's eyes are different. Some are more sensitive to different levels of light. Some see better in one color or another. Your health, age, and the strain of driving long hours, or at night when you rarely drive at that time, will affect your eyes. The stress of driving in the rain will strain your eye's focus, and increase the light glare at the same time.If you use darker blue/gray-tint daylight sunglasses, consider yellow night glasses. If you use the brown/amber-tint sunglasses consider using light blue/gray-tint night glasses. Buy a cheap pair of each and try them for a number of trips before deciding to buy a more expensive pair. Your eyes need to adjust to wearing whatever glasses you choose, and it takes multiple trips to adjust to them.I hope this helps your night driving! I am on the road too. We all have friends and family on rainy dark nights and I hope we never suddenly meet!

you gotta buy these! they are the bomb!
I wear these glasses all the time! I have dropped them on the concrete. when I forget that they are on top of my head. over a dozen times. and believe it or not. I dropped them off a 3 story latter. they did not scratch or break. I am thinking about buying a few more of these glasses for gifts. that's how good I think these glasses are.

Excellent Quality Product
This is my second purchase of Duco glasses. The product is very nicely packaged and the glasses are of exceptional quality for the cost. Each pair came with a good quality case with a carabiner type clip so you can attach it to your belt or backpack. The also include a cleaning cloth and a cloth sack to provide more protection for the glasses. I bought these for cycling in low light conditions where regular sunglasses would reduce visibility too much.

Seem to work OK
I'm giving these a four because I'm not 'really' convinced I can see better on my motorcycle at night while wearing them. They do, however, keep the wind off my eyeballs which is a must!Would I buy them again? Yes, probably.Fairly sporty looking. Good quality and well-worth the price.

Styling
It has a phenomenal case!!! Did not expect so total bonus. Also the glasses are super lightweight don't even know I'm wearing and hence obviously comfortable. If it helps I purchased this for the purpose of blu blocking to protect from smartphone late night use and laptop use. Plan to use it at the shooting range as well.

Not for night drivers...
These glasses didn't perform as I expected. For my vision, it barely took away the glare from on coming traffic at night. Using these during midnight feels awkward for me because it comes to a point where it just darkens my already blackened environment. However, I do use this during the days where you get cloudiness or very little sunlight and you don't feel it necessary to wear sunglasses.
