Good knife.
So when I first unboxed, the handle parts were not aligned and looked / felt like pretty poor quality. I gave it chance though and with use, the different handle parts have all aligned perfectly and the knife is great. Sits well in the hand and hold edge pretty well. I use it all the time.

So....about these knives.....
Truth is, they are NOT Japanese. The companies' info is right on the box. They're chinese. BUT....The truth is, if you're careful, you CAN get very high quality cutlery made in China. These are just that. Very solid, a bit heavy but balanced, and very sharp. They say they're VG10, and I will report back if the edge holds and sharpens like my other VG10 knives. The hammer forging is NOT a mold as far as I can tell. I scanned them carefully and cannot find repeating patterns or other signs of stamping. They are a joy to hold, and an unbelievable value. If you're looking for fine cutlery that doesn't break the bank, and you're not a brand snob, you will be pleasantly surprised by these knives.A free magnetic mount was nice too.

A decent knife- just be very gentle.
The knife is sharp as a razor, but within 3 hours of picking it up, and without ever dropping it, the blade has begun to wiggle inside the handle. I don’t know if the tang has already been compromised or what, but, damn. Hopefully some loctite can fix it.Other than breaking, it’s a killer little blade

Nice Knife but not what it says it is
Beautiful knife and seems to be of good qualitybut promises way more than what it is.First off, my knife came sratched, straiggt out of the box which was disappointing. It claims to be Japanese but is just a "Japanese style". The knife is made in China... On amazon it claims to be professional but the box says for home use.Out of the box sharpness is really good but i have my doubs thats its VG10 steel... I am a professional chef and work with many dofferent knife types. The knife blunts too quickly and is easy to sharpen, suggesting its stainless steel with a low rockwell hardness.Overall its actually a good knife at a reasonable price but the amazon description is misleading
