Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2009 Hardcover – February 3, 2009

Received this book in a timely manner in great condition. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that I was under the impression this would be a hardback copy, when in fact it is paperback. Perhaps this distinction could be made more obvious for future purchases. Other than than, a good order at a good price.

Got two of these for my brothers for Christmas this year. We are all avid video game fans and grew up on everything from Mario Brothers to Grand Theft Auto. This book covers everything ever and makes a great gift for any video game fan.

My son LOVES this book, as he is a serious gamer (age 10). They ran out of it at his school bookfair, so I went searching online and found it here!

This is a great book if you love video games. It was a great purchase especially because I saved money on Amazon. If you're a gamer you will love this book.

first off, I like this book.... BUT, it is different than what I expected. With the name Guinness, it should be MORE comprehensive, although the contents are actually interesting.In other words, please let the makers of this book know that if they are going to continue this series, they need to make it more comprehensive and make us WANT each future edition...I loved the 2008 version, and this one is not as good... although I recommend you pick it up so that future editions will BE PUBLISHED!!Guinness... listen up... WE WANT this book series to succeed... but you need to improve the work, and make it MORE comprehensive... there are so many facets of gaming NOT included, we want a book that makes us feel like gaming is the cool world that it really is....I recommend this book.... but I fear for future editions....fans unite and make this happen!

This book was new when i bought it and it was everything i expected. I had no problems with the seller adn it was shipped promptly as promised.

Search 'video game records' online in any search engine, and you'll do better than this book.The only 'records' here are in an appendix in the back, everything else hypes the games (not even good games). Instead of a 'Gamer's Edition' it should read 'Family Friendly Edition' give the amazing lack of certain genres like Survival Horror, Fighting, and such.Recommend you stay far away from this... by now 2009 records will be outdated anyway.
