Q: is the eye of sauron really in the set

The Eye itself is not in the set as such. It is represented by a sticker-decal applied to a 2x6x1 (two wide, six across, one high) special curved red brick which lies hidden in the floor. When a hidden shaft is activated, the floor opens up (tripping or launching any figure on it) to reveal the "Eye" in the floor at the base of the Ring Pedestal. The sticker is to be applied by the purchaser.

It's a very high quality set. The sticker's stay on with reasonable usage. You can scrape them off if you try, but normal playing the stickers stay intact.

Well, it is double sided. One side is angry as always, the other side is more angry :)

Q: Why is every lego set so expensive? i thought lego was supposed to be for everyone, but these prices say otherwise?

This set was retired in 2014 and thus is a collector piece. Stick with current Lego offerings and you will find prices more to your liking.
