Milk Street Small Nakiri Knife – Ultra-Thin Blade for Precision Cutting, Ergonomic Handle

This an exception knife. The reviews are correct. It’s sharp and nimble. Easy to use. I bought a lesser priced knife and I put it in my shop. Just didn’t cut well. This knife goes through everything like butter. Worth every penny.

I have a very decent full set of Carvel Hall knives with honer & fork in a wood block that I bought late 1970's (C. H. began in 1895 & went out of business in 2000). They made great knives & most famous for their steak knives. Even though the set is very complete (including a clever), a chef knife has limitations. In Jan 2025, I bought a Nakiri of moderate size on Amazon from another maker & I fell in love with it, but even though not as big as some Nakiri I've seen, it is still slightly big for certain slicing & dicing tasks, especially super thin slicing. I did not want to spend $60 on this smaller Nakiri (the larger one I bought cost less and then with an added Amazon discount). When I saw this small Milk Street Nakiri was on sale & having rewards points, I decided to buy one. I just received it & washed it, but at the regular 60 bucks price or sale price, they were too cheap to include some sort of permanent knife guard cover. It comes in a nice box but only with a cardboard sleeve to cover the blade. Even on sale, it's lousy (and cheap) of Milk Street not to include a decent knife guard sleeve. I doubt if the cardboard sleeve is meant to be kept as permanent sleeve, to not only protect the blade, but to also protect oneself & others, it really should come with some sort of more durable & permanent sleeve. Folks, this baby is seriously sharp as a razor. When not in use, you want to keep this razor sharp blade covered to protect not only the blade, but YOU & others in the kitchen!

Not continually poking myself. Great at scooping up what’s just been cut up. Sharp durable edge. Great handle design transitioning into the blade allowing great hand positioning.

Absolutely a favorite knife

Super sharp, light weight, balanced perfectly. I only would buy Miyabi knifes, then I decided to buy this one for the size and shape. WOW! I am now a big fan of milk street!
