The 'Slim' in this Godin ACS-SA nylon string guitar's moniker refers to the 1.715" neck width at the nut—a mere 16th of an inch wider than Godin's standard electric guitar nut width. If you do most of your playing on a guitar with a fairly narrow neck (such as most solidbody electric guitars) this is the ACS-SA guitar for you. The slim neck of the Godin ACS-SA Slim guitar along with the Ergocut shaping technique and 16" fingerboard radius provide for a very easy transition for steel string guitar players looking to integrate nylon string guitar sounds into their music. Aside from the new neck, the ACS-SA Slim shares all of the same features that have made the Godin ACS-SA nylon string guitar an industry standard. The chambered, silverleaf maple body with cedar top results in a guitar that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even in loud stage situations.

Great tone ....
The Multiac range has great tone that it’s hard to match at this price. However, my Multiac Spectrum still has tuning issues after a LOT of work it just about stays in the ball park. The battery lasts only a few days when using the 1/4 jack. It’s hard to reach the higher frets unless you reshape the generic necks. With the worst thing about Godin being their customer service that is non existent. Indeed you have to be aware that in the case of warranty issues, you have to take it back to the place you bought it from, so yes good to buy from Amazon as they have an excellent quality control and returns policy.

You need to be sure you want a narrow neck.
Nylon electric is good for fingerstyle.

Quality instrument
I've been a professional guitarist -- jazz, Brasilian/bossa nova, fingerstyle, chord melody, even classical -- for over 40 years, and have played my share of great and not-so-great guitars... and this one belongs in the 'great' category. As shipped (in a nice gig bag, though I have a hardshell for it instead), it needed no setup or real adjustment of any kind beyond simply tuning it. The stock strings feel like high-ish tension strings and the action is just about perfect for my playing style/s. I enjoy the narrower neck and fretboard -- it is a unique guitar in my collection in that it's nylon with a nearly electric-sized neck, and so it makes for a rather novel playing experience which I very much enjoy. It was not difficult at all to get used to the narrower build. I suppose players with large hands might want to look elsewhere for a wider scale, but for me it's a great fit. I love how mellow and smooth it sounds plugged in with the standard 1/4" guitar jack, but much more, I love it with the Roland GR55 guitar synth. Playing five nights a week on guitar and piano and singing, things can get a little monotonous and boring after a while... and this guitar and the synth with it add fresh sounds and inspire me to play even more. I thoroughly recommend this guitar.

Great guitar
I was having issues with whether to purchase the slim or regular neck profile. Basically I found that the thin is a much faster neck for leads, but takes some getting used to on rhythm. Not only is it "electric" width, but the strings are much larger than on an electric. The combination means not much real estate for fretting. In the end I settled on this for its overall playability. Plus it is quiet enough I can twiddle on the couch without bothering anyone. I am getting used to the slimmer neck and for chording I am becoming much more precise due to the lack of real estate. So, in a strange way it is a great learning tool as well. All other aspects are great, finish is nice, frets well dressed. The amplified sound is quite good with a little reverb in there. All in all happy with my purchase. Would have given it a 5, but Godin elects to ship with a gig bag instead of hard case. My only complaint.

Wow!
Absolutely gorgeous tone! The slim neck makes for seamless transition when switching between steel and nylon string guitars. It was nicely set up, right out of the box, too.

Great guitar, don’t select Amazon equal payments plan to buy it, does not work
I’ve been dreaming about this guitar for years and it’s better than anything g I could have hoped for, sadly I had to return it due to an Amazon mistake in my form of payment. But for the time I had it I was exceedingly happy with it. I guess it will stay in my wish list.
