My husband got one of these at the barber shop he goes to and needed more so I snagged this one here and much cheaper. Exactly the same product and works great w/o making his hair feel solid or like gel.

I have been using the Victory Crown paste for several months now. My barber first introduced it to me because I was looking for a pomade that would still allow me to style it throughout the day. I have full but fairly thin hair and most oil based pomades were out of the question. Other water based pomades were too heavy and didn't allow any restyle to it. This allows me to run my fingers through it throughout the day with no issue. I'd actually say it's a bit more than "light hold". I think it's about medium to medium-low. It has a pleasant, very minimal scent. Spreads easily, works easily, and washes off very easily. At around $19 a can, it does tend to be a bit on the upper end of products, but I'll happily pay it because I haven't found anything similar. Clays don't do it, other water-based matte pomades can't do it.For me at least, this is my go to. I've tired countless other brands and pomade types before settling on this (Reuzel, Sauvecito, Tip Top, Imperial, etc).

I recently tried Victory Crown Paste, and I'm thrilled with the results! This paste offers a fantastic medium hold that keeps my hair styled. It's also incredibly versatile, working equally well on both damp and dry hair. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, leaving no sticky residue. The pleasant scent is an added bonus. Overall, Victory Crown Paste is a winner in my book!

This product couldn't even hold my hair for half a day. Very disappointed. Also still leave residue on hand if touched in the slightest. Into the trash it goes.

Full disclosure, the owner of this company has been my barber for more years than I can count, and probably since the inception of Victory Crown. While he is a terrific barber with a depth of skill and knowledge, I would not use his product if it sucked. This product (and all of his others I have tried) does not and the reason why is his knowledge and commitment to product formulation and how they work. For me, I am a pretty uncomplicated fella who goes to the barber twice a week and maintains a pretty stright forward, clean cut 'doo on my noggin. I want a product that is stupid easy and no muss, no fuss, and doesn;t look like I have anything in my hair, just good look. This fits the bill and while this is the first one I have purchased via Amazon (for the ease), it is probably my 10th one I have used. If you can't tell, I am a fan of the products, the founder, and the company.
